How much does the Vision Wide GSF-1627 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Vision Wide GSF-1627 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Vision Wide GSF-1627 is a five-axis gantry machining center with a two-axis head. The table is fixed; the gantry carries a head whose B and C axes tilt and swivel a built-in spindle while X, Y and Z move, so all five axes can cut at once.
It is the smallest of the series, with 1,600 mm (63.0 in) of X travel, 2,700 mm (106.3 in) of Y and a 1,600 x 2,700 mm (63.0 x 106.3 in) table. Z travel is listed as 1,000/1,200 mm (39.4/47.2 in).
Vision Wide states a 5 axis dynamic rotation synchronization accuracy (TCPM) of 0.04mm. That figure describes how well the tool tip stays on its programmed point while the rotary axes move, which is what matters when a ball mill sweeps a curved surface with its axis changing all the way. The B and C axes are direct-driven and described as backlashless.
The spindle is a 15,000 rpm built-in unit rated 50/65 kW (67.1/87.2 hp), S1 and S6, with an HSK-A100 interface in standard form. Linear axes are quick: 32 m/min in X and Y, 20 m/min in Z, and a cutting feed range of 1-20,000 mm/min. Table load is 3,000 kg/m2. The control is a HEIDENHAIN TNC640.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Yes. The head has direct-driven B and C axes with a built-in spindle, and Vision Wide states a 5 axis dynamic rotation synchronization accuracy (TCPM) of 0.04mm. The GSA-1627, with the same travels, is the indexing 3+2 axis version.
02
X travel is 1,600 mm (63.0 in), Y travel 2,700 mm (106.3 in) and Z travel 1,000/1,200 mm (39.4/47.2 in). The table measures 1,600 x 2,700 mm (63.0 x 106.3 in).
03
The standard head is listed as HST810x15,000 rpm/HSK-A100. Spindle power is 50/65 kW (67.1/87.2 hp) on the S1/S6 ratings, and spindle speed is 15,000 rpm.
04
3,000 kg/m2, a load per square metre of the fixed table. The maker gives no total; the table is 1,600 x 2,700 mm (63.0 x 106.3 in).
