Overview
With the Vision Wide FA-3027 the FA series changes spindle. The table lists 12,000 rpm on an HSK-A100 taper, 34 / 43 kW (45.6 / 57.7 hp) and 162 / 205 Nm (119 / 151 lb-ft). Against the FA-3123, which has the same 3,100 mm (122.0 in) X travel and 30 / 36 Nm (22.1 / 26.6 lb-ft), that is more than five times the torque.
So this is the five-axis machine for steel. It can rough a die with a large cutter tilted away from a wall, then finish it, on one setup. Those who still want speed for small tools can order the optional 20,000rpm HSK-A63 spindle listed for the FA-xx27 and FA-xx33 series.
The frame is larger as well. Y travel is 2,700 mm (106.3 in), port width 2,200 mm (86.6 in), and Z travel 1,000 mm with 1,200 mm optional. The table is 3,000×1,800 mm (118.1×70.9 in) for 10,000 kg (22,046 lb).
