How much does the Vision Wide GSA-2232 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Vision Wide GSA-2232 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Vision Wide GSA-2232 is wider than it is long. Y travel is 3,200 mm (126.0 in) and X travel 2,200 mm (86.6 in), over a 2,200×3,200 mm (86.6×126.0 in) fixed table. It is the smallest machine of the wider GSA frame.
A short, wide gantry suits parts loaded from the front. The operator stands at the long side of the table, the crane sets the part down across the machine, and the gantry needs only a short stroke to cover it. For a shop whose building is wide but shallow, or whose parts are broad panels and mold halves, the footprint works out better than a long, narrow machine with the same table area.
The GSA-2227 has the same X travel with 2,700 mm (106.3 in) of Y. Stepping to this model changes the cross beam and the table and nothing in the performance rows: 50/65 kW (67.1/87.2 hp), 15,000 rpm, 32/32/20 m/min rapids and 1~20,000 mm/min cutting feed are printed for both.
Like every GSA it carries the IAC indexing attached head for 3+2 axis machining, with automatic indexing on B and C. Z travel is 1,000 mm and the 1,200 mm stroke is optional. A HEIDENHAIN TNC640 controller is standard.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 3,200 mm (126.0 in) of Y travel on a short 2,200 mm (86.6 in) gantry stroke
- 2,200×3,200 mm (86.6×126.0 in) fixed table
- Same 32/32/20 m/min rapids as the narrower frame
- IAC indexing head for 3+2 axis machining
Limitations
- X travel of 2,200 mm (86.6 in) is the shortest of the wide frame
- Y axis is driven by a single ballscrew across a 3,200 mm (126.0 in) stroke
- Usable table load is not clear from the maker's table

Frequently Asked Questions
01
X travel is 2,200 mm (86.6 in), Y travel is 3,200 mm (126.0 in) and Z travel is 1,000 mm, with 1,200 mm optional. The table measures 2,200×3,200 mm (86.6×126.0 in).
02
In width. The GSA-2227 has 2,700 mm (106.3 in) of Y and a 2,200×2,700 mm (86.6×106.3 in) table; the GSA-2232 has 3,200 mm (126.0 in) of Y and a 2,200×3,200 mm (86.6×126.0 in) table. Spindle, feeds and rapids match.
03
No. In Vision Wide's table the wider GSA frame starts at the GSA-2232. The only model with 1,600 mm (63.0 in) of X travel is the GSA-1627, on the 2,700 mm (106.3 in) frame.
04
The IAC indexing attached head, listed as IAC-15,000rpm/HSK-A100 in standard form. It indexes automatically on the B axis and the C axis for 3+2 axis machining.
