Akira Seiki SV760 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Akira Seiki SV760 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Akira Seiki or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

Take a 30-inch vertical, give it a 15,000 rpm spindle and 48 m/min rapids, and the result is the Akira Seiki SV760. X travel is 760 mm (30 in), Y 445 mm (17.5 in), Z 520 mm (20.5 in), and the table is 910 x 400 mm (35.8 x 15.8 in).

The SV760 and the shorter SV550 are the two light machines of the SV series. Both have the 25 HP (18.6 kW) peak spindle, the 28T magazine and a 20 kVA power requirement; from the SV815 upward the series switches to a 42 HP (31.3 kW) spindle and 36T. So this is the largest SV model that still runs on the small electrical supply.

Feeds are the argument for it. Rapid feed is 48 / 48 / 36 m/min (1,890 / 1,890 / 1,417 ipm), cutting feed 24 / 24 / 24 m/min (945 / 945 / 945 ipm), and a tool change takes 1.9 s. On thin-walled aluminium parts with many short moves, those figures count for more than peak power.

The table takes 800 kg (1,764 lb) as a standard load and 960 kg (2,117 lb) maximum. Weight is 5,189 kg (11,440 lb), dimensions 3,145 x 2,200 mm (124 x 87 in). The spindle is oil chilled, chips leave on a chain type conveyor, and the coolant tank holds 250 L (66 gal).

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What are the travels of the SV760?

760 mm (30 in) in X, 445 mm (17.5 in) in Y and 520 mm (20.5 in) in Z. The table is 910 x 400 mm (35.8 x 15.8 in) with four 18 mm T-slots at 80 mm pitch.

02 Is the SV760 spindle the same as on the SV815?

The speed is, at 15,000 rpm on BT40. The power is not: the SV760 lists 25 HP (18.6 kW) peak and the SV815 lists 42 HP (31.3 kW). The SV815 also needs 35 kVA, against 20 kVA for the SV760.

03 How does the SV760 differ from the V2.5XP?

The two have the same travels and table. The V2.5XP runs at 10,000 rpm (V) or 12,000 rpm (XP) with a 2.2 s tool change; the SV760 runs at 15,000 rpm with a 1.9 s change and an oil-chilled spindle.

04 How much does the SV760 weigh?

5,189 kg (11,440 lb), on a footprint of 3,145 x 2,200 mm (124 x 87 in). Table load is 800 kg (1,764 lb) standard and 960 kg (2,117 lb) maximum.
