Vision Wide SM-2622Y — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Vision Wide SM-2622Y that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Vision Wide or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training

Overview

The Y in Vision Wide SM-2622Y stands for a longer cross axis. Y travel is 2,700 mm (106.3 in), where the plain SM-2622 has 2,200 mm (86.6 in); the maker's feature list puts it as "Y axis increases machining stroke".

Nothing else in the table changes. X travel is 2,600 mm (102.4 in), the table is 2,800×2,100 mm (110.2×82.7 in) for 12,000 kg (26,455 lb), and the spindle is the 6,000 rpm geared unit on 22 / 26 kW (29.5 / 34.9 hp). So the question is only whether the spindle needs to travel beyond the edges of a 2,100 mm (82.7 in) wide table. It does when side faces are machined with an angle head, when a part overhangs the table, or when a probe or tool setter is mounted outside the work area.

This is also the squarest SM: the cross travel is slightly longer than the X travel.

A note on the model list. Vision Wide prints a separate column for an SM-2622E, and every row in it is the same as this model's, Y travel included. The page gives no explanation of what the E version changes. Anyone quoted an E machine should ask the maker what is different, because the published figures do not show it.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 2,700 mm (106.3 in) of Y travel over a 2,100 mm (82.7 in) wide table
  • 22 / 26 kW (29.5 / 34.9 hp) spindle motor
  • 12,000 kg (26,455 lb) table load
  • Cross travel slightly longer than the 2,600 mm (102.4 in) X travel

Limitations

  • The table is no larger than on the SM-2622
  • The maker's page does not explain how the SM-2622E, with identical figures, differs
  • Standard Z travel is 800 mm

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What does the Y mean in Vision Wide SM-2622Y?

A longer Y axis. The SM-2622Y lists 2,700 mm (106.3 in) of Y travel and the SM-2622 lists 2,200 mm (86.6 in). All other rows of the two tables are the same.

02 Is the SM-2622E different from the SM-2622Y?

Not in the published figures. The SM-2622E column matches the SM-2622Y in every row, including 2,700 mm (106.3 in) of Y travel, and the page states no difference between them. Ask Vision Wide what the E version changes.

03 What are the table size and load of the SM-2622Y?

The table measures 2,800×2,100 mm (110.2×82.7 in) and carries up to 12,000 kg (26,455 lb). X travel is 2,600 mm (102.4 in).

04 What spindle does the SM-2622Y use?

A linear way 6,000 rpm 2-step gear type spindle is standard, with 22 / 26 kW (29.5 / 34.9 hp) of motor power. Faster built-in and direct driven spindles are optional.
