Overview

Two beams, one fixed and one moving, form the bridge of the Vision Wide BM-6030 / 6037. Vision Wide calls it a double beams configuration: the fixed beam keeps parallelism and structural rigidity, and the movable beam is designed for dynamic straightness and to sustain the cutting power.

The arrangement answers the usual objection to movable cross rails, which is that a beam free to slide on the columns is less stiff than one bolted to them. Here the columns stay tied together at the top by the fixed beam. When the moving beam reaches its working height, a precise clamping device holds it tightly, and the maker credits that clamp with supporting spindle cutting accuracy. A hydraulic system controls the parallelism of the rail as it travels, whatever the position of the headstock along Y, and dual cylinders support the W-axis movement.

Under the bridge is a 6,000×2,450 mm (236.2×96.5 in) table rated for 22,000 kg (48,501 lb), with 6,100 mm (240.2 in) of X travel. Y travel is 3,000 mm, or 3,700 mm on the longer of the two models.

Rapids are 8 / 10 / 12 / 2 m/min for X, Y, Z and W. The spindle motor is 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp), and the control is a FANUC 0iMF Plus.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the double beams configuration of the Vision Wide BM-6030?

A fixed beam to keep parallelism and structural rigidity, and a movable beam for dynamic straightness and cutting power, in the maker's words. A precise clamping device holds the cross beam during cutting.

02 What are the BM-6030 / 6037 rapid traverse rates?

8 / 10 / 12 / 2 m/min for X, Y, Z and W. Cutting feed is 1-7,000 mm/min on X, Y and Z and 1,000 mm/min on W, the cross rail axis.

03 What size is the BM-6030 table?

6,000×2,450 mm (236.2×96.5 in), with a 22,000 kg (48,501 lb) load. X travel is 6,100 mm (240.2 in) and Y travel 3,000 mm, or 3,700 mm on the longer-Y version of the BM-6030 / 6037.

04 How far does the cross rail travel on the BM-6030?

W travel is listed as 1,000/ 1,200 mm (39.4/ 47.2 in)(Opt.)/1,500 mm (59.1 in)(Opt.): 1,000 mm standard, 1,200 mm or 1,500 mm optional.
