Vision Wide HF-8042M — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Vision Wide HF-8042M that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Vision Wide or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

A box-in-box crossbeam is the structural idea behind the Vision Wide HF-8042M. On a conventional bridge machine the head hangs on the front face of the beam, so its weight and the cutting force twist the beam. Vision Wide says its crossbeam design with a box-in-box structure can reduce deformation caused by the Z axis loading the cross beam on one side.

The second claim concerns temperature. With the gravity centre of the head on the centreline of a symmetric structure, the maker says, the design can reduce the influence of ambient temperature. A symmetric structure expands evenly, so the tool point moves less as the shop warms and cools.

Both points matter in proportion to size, and this is a big machine: 8,100 mm (318.9 in) of X travel, 4,200 mm (165.4 in) of Y, 1,500 mm (59.1 in) of Z, and an 8,000×3,000 mm (315.0×118.1 in) table for 32,000 kg (70,547 lb).

The spindle is a 2-step gear type at 4,000rpm, with a 6,000rpm version optional, on 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp). The table also lists a direct-driven spindle at 10,000 rpm as an option. Rapids are 15/15/12 m/min.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Box-in-box crossbeam intended to reduce beam deformation
  • Symmetric head position said to reduce the influence of ambient temperature
  • 8,000×3,000 mm (315.0×118.1 in) table for 32,000 kg (70,547 lb)
  • 1,500 mm (59.1 in) of Z travel

Limitations

  • No accuracy or deformation figures support the structural claims on the page
  • Cutting feed of 1~7,000 mm/min
  • The 6,000rpm gear spindle and the 10,000 rpm direct-driven spindle are options

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the box-in-box structure on the Vision Wide HF-8042M?

It is the crossbeam design of the HFM series. Vision Wide says it can reduce deformation caused by the Z axis loaded on the unilateral cross beam, and that the head's gravity centre lies on the centreline of the symmetric structure.

02 What size is the HF-8042M?

X travel 8,100 mm (318.9 in), Y travel 4,200 mm (165.4 in), Z travel 1,500 mm (59.1 in). The table measures 8,000×3,000 mm (315.0×118.1 in) and carries 32,000 kg (70,547 lb).

03 Which spindles does the HF-8042M offer?

Standard is a 2-step gear type spindle 4,000rpm. A 2-step gear type spindle 6,000rpm is optional, and the specification table lists a direct-driven spindle at 10,000 rpm as an option.

04 How fast is the HF-8042M?

The rapid traverse row gives 15/15/12 m/min for X/Y/Z, and the cutting feed range is 1~7,000 mm/min. The HF-8035 / HF-8042, the pair without the M, lists 8 m/min for its X/Y rapid.
