Overview
The Pinnacle BX700DD puts a direct-drive motor in the B-axis head of the BX700. The head swivels ± 120° at 50 rpm, against 16.6 rpm on the worm-gear BX700, and clamps with 2,950 Nm (2,175.9 lb-ft).
The rest of the machine carries over: 1,400 mm (55.1 in) of X, 710 mm (28.0 in) of Y, a Ø640 mm (Ø25.2 in) embedded direct-drive table for 1,000 kg (2,205 lb), and a 15,000 rpm built-in spindle with 15 / 19.4 kW (20.1 / 26.0 hp). Z is Vertical Milling 680 / Horizontal Milling 780 mm, so the direct-drive head gives up a little horizontal reach.
