Overview
The Pinnacle BX700 is a swivel-head 5-axis machining center with a Ø640 mm (Ø25.2 in) direct-drive rotary table built into a 1,600 x 700 mm (63.0 x 27.6 in) main table. Travels are 1,400 mm (55.1 in) in X and 710 mm (28.0 in) in Y, with Z listed as Vertical Milling 680 / Horizontal Milling 810 mm.
Load capacity is the headline. The embedded table carries 1,000 kg (2,205 lb), double the figure of the BX500, and the machine weighs 12,000 kg (26,455 lb). The C axis turns at 50 rpm.
In this base version the B-axis head is worm driven: 16.6 rpm, 1,765 Nm (1,301.9 lb-ft) of clamp torque and a ± 120° range. Worm drive holds position stiffly under a heavy cut, at some expense in speed, and rotary accuracy is 14"/10" for B/C.
The built-in spindle is rated 15 / 19.4 kW (20.1 / 26.0 hp) and 71.6 / 172 Nm (52.8 / 126.9 lb-ft) at up to 15,000 rpm with a DIN40 (HSKA63) taper. Rapids are 36 / 36 / 24 m/min on roller guideways with oil-cooled ball screws. The tool capacity cell for this model is misprinted on the maker's page, so the row is omitted here; the BX700T column of the same table reads 30(40/60).
