How much does the MCM TANK 1000 EVO cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the MCM TANK 1000 EVO that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The MCM TANK 1000 EVO is a 5-axis horizontal machining center with a tilting head, and the smallest model of MCM's TANK family. The table lists 1,200 mm (47.2 in) of X, 1,000 mm (39.4 in) of Y and 1,100 mm (43.3 in) of Z, with a rapid feed of 75 m/min (2,952.8 ipm).
There is no 4-axis column for this model. MCM offers it as 5-Axes for milling or 5-Axes Multitasking for milling, turning and grinding, and in both the fifth axis is in the head, not under the part. The tilting angle is 180 degrees, +80/-100. MCM describes the machine as having a high load capacity on the table, which fits a design where the pallet only rotates and the head does the tilting. The CLOCK 1000 EVO covers similar pallet sizes with a tilting table instead, and its range is 145 degrees (+25/-120).
Pallets are 630 x 630 mm (24.8 x 24.8 in) or 630 x 800 mm (24.8 x 31.5 in) for milling and Ø 800 mm (Ø 31.5 in) for the Multitasking version. The B-axis turns at up to 100 min-1, and the Multitasking row gives 100 / 800 min-1.
MCM says the machine opens the TANK family to general mechanics, modelling and printing presses, where components and work volumes are smaller but several axes still have to move together. It also states that the head is available as an A-axis or as a B-axis. The magazine row reads "up to 89 (999+)", and tapers are HSK, ISO or CAPTO.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Tilting head with 180 degrees of travel (+80/-100), so the workpiece stays on a rotating pallet and is never tilted
- MCM describes the model as having a high load capacity on the table
- Rapid feed of 75 m/min (2,952.8 ipm), against 50 m/min (1,968.5 ipm) on the TANK 1300 EVO
- Multitasking version mills, turns and grinds on a Ø 800 mm (Ø 31.5 in) pallet with a 100 / 800 min-1 table speed row
- Tilting head is available as an A-axis or as a B-axis, according to MCM
Limitations
- No 4-Axes configuration is listed, so a shop that only needs indexing pays for a tilting head
- Pallets stop at 630 x 800 mm (24.8 x 31.5 in); the TANK 1300 EVO goes to 800 x 800 mm (31.5 x 31.5 in)
- MCM says TANK EVO sizes are identified by X-axis stroke, yet this model's X-axis row prints 1,200 mm (47.2 in); have MCM confirm the stroke in writing
- The "high load capacity" is not backed by a pallet load figure in the table

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Tilting head. MCM lists the fifth axis type as Tilting Head for both configurations, with a tilting angle of 180 degrees (+80/-100). MCM adds that the head is available in two types, as an A-axis and as a B-axis. The pallet sits on the B-axis rotary table, which turns at up to 100 min-1.
02
MCM's table gives 1,200 mm (47.2 in) on X, 1,000 mm (39.4 in) on Y and 1,100 mm (43.3 in) on Z, the same for the 5-Axes and 5-Axes Multitasking versions. MCM says the sizes of the TANK EVO line are identified by X-axis stroke, which does not match the 1,200 mm printed for this model, so ask MCM to confirm the X figure.
03
MCM presents it as a smaller model than the existing TANK machines and as the start of the restyling of that series. Next up is the TANK 1300 EVO with 1,300 mm (51.2 in) of X, pallets up to 800 x 800 mm (31.5 x 31.5 in) and a rapid feed of 50 m/min (1,968.5 ipm).
04
The capacity row reads "up to 89 (999+)" for both configurations. MCM doesn't print the footnote that belongs to the row, so the bracketed figure needs confirming, along with the magazine type behind it. Tool tapers are HSK, ISO or CAPTO.
05
Milling, turning and grinding. That version works on a round Ø 800 mm (Ø 31.5 in) pallet and has no second pallet option in the table. Its B-axis speed row reads 100 / 800 min-1, where the milling version shows 100 min-1.
