The Machitech Fiber Prime S 8x24 is the longest shuttle-table laser Machitech lists, with a sheet length of 315 in (8,000 mm) at 98 in (2,500 mm) of width. Beyond it the range changes concept, to the Fiber Prime XL, whose laser travels over a fixed bed.

So this size answers a specific question: how long can plate be and still be exchanged on shuttle tables? Machitech's answer carries a workpiece of 31,300 lbs (14,100 kg), the highest of the Fiber Prime S line. The benefit of staying with shuttle tables is that loading and unloading happen outside the enclosure while the other table is being cut.
