Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD TL 2665 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD TL 2665 is a fiber tube laser for round tube up to 165 mm (6.5 in) in diameter, square tube up to 127 x 127 mm (5.0 x 5.0 in) and rectangular tube up to 152 x 50 mm (6.0 x 2.0 in). Raw lengths go to 8,000 mm (315.0 in) and finished parts to 4,800 mm (189.0 in). It is the smaller of LVD's two tube lasers and the one built around quick, semi-automatic loading.
Loading is from the front. A 7-position magazine holds tubes ready, and four servo-controlled risers lift each one to a self-centering chuck and follow its contour as it turns. Loading and unloading happen from the same side, so the operator works from one position. For longer runs LVD offers a bundle feeder that holds up to 1800 kg of stock.
The source is a Maxphotonics fiber laser of 3 kW or 4 kW. LVD's table gives no wall-thickness capacity for either, so that has to be confirmed for the material in question. Listed materials are steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and brass, in round, rectangular, square and ob-round sections; the product page adds C-channel and angle iron.
Tube is rarely straight, and the machine is equipped for that. A side-sensing laser detects bows and bulges along the length, and an automatic system compensates for twist. LVD states cut-to-length accuracy of +/- 0.1 mm at minimum, or +/- 0.05 mm per 300 mm, and 0.025 mm on small features. The head has crash protection in two directions, vertical and rotational, and keeps its stand-off distance automatically.
Speeds are 127 m/min along the tube and 120 rotations/min at the chuck. The heaviest tube the machine takes is 32.7 kg/m.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Handles round tube up to 165 mm (6.5 in), square up to 127 x 127 mm and rectangular up to 152 x 50 mm
- 7-position magazine-style front loader with 4 servo-controlled infeed risers; loads and unloads from the same side
- Automatic bow detection and twist compensation for tube that is not straight
- 127 m/min linear speed and 120 rotations/min rotary speed
- Cuts steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and brass with a 3 kW or 4 kW fiber source
Limitations
- Finished part length is limited to 4,800 mm (189.0 in) although raw material can be 8,000 mm (315.0 in)
- LVD's table states no maximum wall thickness for the 3 kW or 4 kW source
- Tube weight is capped at 32.7 kg/m, which rules out heavy-wall sections near the top of the size range
- Bundle feeder, seam detection and outfeed conveyors or sorters are options
- No bevel head is listed; the TL 8525 is the model with a tilting cutting head

Frequently Asked Questions
01
LVD lists round tube as 19 x 165 mm, square tube to a maximum of 127 x 127 mm (5.0 x 5.0 in) and rectangular tube to a maximum of 152 x 50 mm (6.0 x 2.0 in). Tube types are round, rectangle, square and ob-round, and the maximum tube weight is 32.7 kg/m.
02
The maximum raw material length is 8,000 mm (315.0 in) and the maximum part length is 4,800 mm (189.0 in). The B-axis feed stage is listed with 7,924 mm of travel, and the product page headline gives 7925 mm as the maximum tube length, so check the usable length for full-length stock with LVD.
03
From the front. A 7-position magazine-style loader presents the tubes, and 4 servo-controlled infeed risers lift each tube to the chuck, centre it with the steady rest and support it as it turns. Loading and unloading are done from the same side. An optional bundle feeder holds up to 1800 kg of raw tube for uninterrupted runs.
04
Two built-in functions deal with it. A side-sensing laser detects bows or bulges along the length of the tube and compensates for them, and an automatic twist compensation system adapts to deformation of the material. LVD's stated accuracy is +/- 0.1 mm cut to length, or +/- 0.05 mm per 300 mm.
05
A Maxphotonics fiber laser, offered at 3 kW or 4 kW. The listed materials are steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper and brass. LVD's specification does not give wall-thickness limits by power, so those need to be confirmed for your sections.
