How much does the LVD Puma 3015 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD Puma 3015 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD Puma 3015 is a 3,050 x 1,525 mm (120.1 x 60.0 in) flatbed fiber laser with integrated shuttle tables, sold with a 3, 6, 12 or 20 kW source. It is the smallest of four Puma sizes and the one that shares its sheet format with the LaserTWO 3015, so the useful question is what the Puma adds.
Speed and accuracy are the first answers. X-Y positioning runs at 140 m/min, against 110 m/min on the LaserTWO 3015, and LVD states +/- 0.050 mm positioning accuracy and +/- 0.025 mm repeatability, half the LaserTWO figures. LVD attributes the accuracy to a welded steel frame. Z travel is 130 mm (5.1 in) and the table carries 1,050 kg (2,315 lb).
The second answer is power. A 20 kW source is offered here and lifts mild steel capacity to 45 mm (1.8 in); stainless steel and aluminium stay at the 30 mm (1.2 in) already reached with 12 kW, and copper and brass at 15 mm (0.59 in). So 20 kW buys thickness in mild steel only, plus whatever speed it brings in thinner gauges, which LVD's table does not quantify.
Shuttle tables are part of the machine, with a 35 sec. changeover, and the Puma accepts LVD's MOVit range: Compact Tower, Flexible Automation, Tower Automation System or Warehouse Automation System. An automatic nozzle changer is an option. Control is LVD's 19-inch Touch-L.
It is a much larger installation than the entry machine. LVD lists 8,825 mm (347.4 in) of length, 2,560 mm (100.8 in) of width and 13,000 kg (28,660 lb), before light guards, filter and chiller.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 140 m/min X-Y positioning speed with +/- 0.050 mm positioning accuracy and +/- 0.025 mm repeatability
- Source options from 3 kW to 20 kW; the 20 kW source cuts 45 mm (1.8 in) of mild steel
- Integrated shuttle tables change over in 35 sec., so one table is loaded while the other is cut
- Compatible with MOVit Compact Tower, Flexible Automation, Tower Automation System and Warehouse Automation System
- 19-inch Touch-L touch screen control with a graphical interface
Limitations
- At 8,825 mm long and 13,000 kg it needs far more floor space than the LaserTWO 3015 at 5,000 mm and 6,000 kg
- The 20 kW source adds nothing in stainless steel or aluminium thickness over 12 kW: both are listed at 30 mm (1.2 in)
- The automatic nozzle changer is an option, not standard equipment
- Bevel cutting is offered only on the Puma 6525

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Both take a 3,050 x 1,525 mm sheet. Against the LaserTWO 3015, the Puma 3015 positions at 140 m/min rather than 110 m/min, has 130 mm of Z travel rather than 80 mm, and is listed at +/- 0.050 mm positioning accuracy against +/- 0.10 mm. It adds a 20 kW source option and a wider automation range. The LaserTWO 3015 is far smaller and lighter in its local-cover version, at 6,000 kg against 13,000 kg.
02
LVD's table gives mild steel at 15 mm with 3 kW, 25 mm with 6 kW, 30 mm with 12 kW and 45 mm with 20 kW. Stainless steel and aluminium reach 25 mm at 6 kW and 30 mm at both 12 kW and 20 kW. If the thick work is stainless or aluminium, the table shows no thickness gain from 12 kW to 20 kW.
03
04
LVD lists four MOVit systems for the Puma: Compact Tower (CT-L) for loading, unloading and material and parts storage, Flexible Automation (FA-L) load/unload systems, the Tower Automation System (TAS) with single or double tower storage, and the customizable Warehouse Automation System (WAS).
05
Nitrogen and oxygen, and as options compressed air or mixed gas. The maker presents the alternatives as cutting gas options on the Puma range. An automatic nozzle changer that also inspects and cleans nozzles is listed as a further option.
