How much does the Boschert FiberLaser cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Boschert FiberLaser that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Boschert FiberLaser is a flat-bed fiber laser cutting machine built in two sizes. The 3015 travels 3,000 mm in X and 1,500 mm in Y; the 4020 travels 4,000 mm and 2,000 mm. Z travel is 250 mm on both, and the laser source can be 1000 W, 2000 W, 3000 W or 4000 W.
Boschert's recommended cutting performance is conservative and worth reading closely. Mild steel is 6 mm at 1000 W and 10 mm from 2000 W upward. Stainless steel is 4 mm, 8 mm and then 10 mm. Aluminium runs 3 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm and 10 mm across the four sources, and copper 2 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm and 8 mm. Nothing in the table goes past 10 mm, and a footnote puts the maximum clamp opening at 12 mm. This is a sheet machine, and the larger sources pay off in non-ferrous metals and in speed, not in plate thickness.
The axes reach 100 m/min simultaneously in X and Y. Positioning difference and repeatability are both +/- 0.10 mm when lasering contours. The cutting head has automatic focus adjustment, integrated collision protection and process monitoring, and the control is a Schneider Touch with a 19" TFT touchscreen and data transfer by RJ 45 and USB.
For installation, the 3015 measures 8,600 x 4,200 x 2,200 mm and weighs 8,000 kg, and the 4020 measures 10,600 x 4,700 x 2,200 mm and weighs 9,500 kg. The electrical supply is 22 kVA, a figure that covers the laser, the machine, dust collection and cooling.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Two. The 3015 has 3,000 mm of X and 1,500 mm of Y travel, measures 8,600 x 4,200 x 2,200 mm and weighs 8,000 kg. The 4020 has 4,000 mm and 2,000 mm, measures 10,600 x 4,700 x 2,200 mm and weighs 9,500 kg. Z travel is 250 mm on both.
02
Boschert's recommended figures for 4000 W are 10 mm in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium and 8 mm in copper. At 1000 W they are 6 mm, 4 mm, 3 mm and 2 mm in the same order. A footnote gives the maximum clamp opening as 12 mm.
03
The table names a Schneider Touch control with a 19" TFT touchscreen. Data transfer is by RJ 45 and USB. Boschert describes the CNC interface as allowing fast setup and integration into existing CAD/CAM environments.
04
22 kVA. Boschert's table notes that this covers the fiber laser, the machine, dust collection and cooling, so it is the figure for the whole installation and not for the source alone.
