Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD Strippit PX-1225 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD Strippit PX-1225 is a single-head punch press, not a turret machine. Instead of a turret it has one punching head served by a 20-station magazine of T-style tools, and every tool can be rotated a full 360 degrees. The format is 1,250 x 2,500 mm (49.2 x 98.4 in), the force 200 kN.
Two consequences follow from the single head. First, any tool works at any angle anywhere on the sheet, so one rectangle or one forming tool does the work of several fixed-angle turret stations. Second, the die retracts, which LVD says virtually eliminates scratching on the workpiece. The cost is tool-change time: 1 to 5 sec., where the Strippit VX-1225 turret is listed at 0.8 sec.
Clearance is the other departure. Feed clearance is 80 mm (3.1 in), against 25 mm on the Strippit VX-1225, and the machine forms and bends flanges up to 75 mm high. With the optional Opti-Bend tool system it produces small boxes, brackets and louvers that would otherwise go to a press brake, and an automatic tapping system covers M2.5 to M6 in material up to 6.35 mm (0.25 in).
Tooling capacity is counted differently too. The 20 stations take tools up to 90 mm, and multitools bring the total to 200. An optional Extended Tool Magazine holds 40 additional tools that can be loaded or unloaded while the machine runs.
Listed rates are 910 HPM at 1 mm pitch, 505 HPM at 25.4 mm pitch and 1650 HPM in marking, with 130 m/min positioning. On this size LVD marks load/unload, Compact Tower, bin sort, robot pick/sort and the Extended Tool Magazine as available; Flexible Automation and the tower and warehouse systems are reserved for the Strippit PX-1530.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- All 20 tool stations index a full 360 degrees, so any tool can be used at any angle
- 80 mm (3.1 in) feed clearance with forming and bending up to 75 mm
- Up to 200 tools with multitools, plus 40 more in the optional Extended Tool Magazine
- Retractable die to protect the sheet from scratching
- 910 HPM at 1 mm pitch and 130 m/min combined positioning speed
Limitations
- Tool change takes 1 to 5 sec., slower than the 0.8 sec. of the Strippit VX-1225 turret
- Flexible Automation, Tower Automation and Warehouse Automation are marked for the Strippit PX-1530 but not for this size
- Opti-Bend, the tapping tool system and the Extended Tool Magazine are options
- Punching thickness is limited to 6.35 mm (0.25 in)

Frequently Asked Questions
01
On the Strippit PX-1225 one punch head does all the work and tools are brought to it from a 20-station magazine, each able to rotate a full 360 degrees. There is no turret of fixed stations. That gives full angular freedom for every tool and a retractable die, at the price of a 1 to 5 sec. tool change.
02
The magazine has 20 stations of T-style tooling for tools up to 90 mm. Using multitools, LVD puts the maximum at 200 tools. The optional Extended Tool Magazine (ETM) adds up to 40 tools, loaded or unloaded during operation and managed by the Touch-P control.
03
Within limits. LVD states that the machine forms and bends up to 75 mm, and the optional Opti-Bend tool system is described for small boxes, brackets, knockouts, louvers and countersinks up to that height. The 80 mm (3.1 in) feed clearance is what lets such forms move under the head.
04
LVD offers a fully automatic tapping tool system as an option. It taps sizes from M2.5 to M6 in materials up to 6.35 mm (0.25 in), which is also the maximum punching thickness of the machine.
05
In sheet size and automation. The Strippit PX-1225 takes 1,250 x 2,500 mm sheet; the Strippit PX-1530 takes 1,524 x 3,048 mm. Force, hit rates, magazine and clearance are the same. LVD marks Flexible Automation and the tower and warehouse systems as available only on the Strippit PX-1530.
