LVD Strippit P-1225 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the LVD Strippit P-1225 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from LVD or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

For 1,250 x 2,500 mm (49.2 x 98.4 in) sheet LVD offers two turret machines of the same 200 kN force, and the LVD Strippit P-1225 is the simpler of them. It has a 33-station turret and a Fanuc control, and LVD describes the line as cost-effective punching for prototyping, short runs and cell manufacturing.

The alternative on this sheet size is the Strippit M-1225, with 47 stations, 850 HPM at 1 mm pitch and 96 m/min positioning. The P-1225 is listed at 650 HPM at 1 mm pitch, 300 HPM at 25.4 mm pitch and 82 m/min. No marking rate is given for it, and its tool change is 1 sec. Whether the difference matters depends on batch size: on short runs, setup dominates, and here the quick-change die holders, with a die change quoted at 15 seconds, do more for output than hit rate.

Turret layout is two 88.9 mm stations and three 50.8 mm stations, the latter auto-indexing, within the 33. Shaped or round tooling fits every station. A 25 mm (1.0 in) feed clearance between upper and lower turret allows forming, and thickness capacity is 6.35 mm (0.25 in).

Compared with the Strippit P-1212, this model doubles the sheet length and adds the option of a third work clamp to the two supplied. Table load is unchanged at up to 79 kg (174 lb) on the brush table at reduced speed, which a full sheet of thicker material can exceed. LVD marks no MOVit loading or storage system as available for the P line, so plan on manual loading.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Full 1,250 x 2,500 mm (49.2 x 98.4 in) worksheet on LVD's simplest turret line
  • Quick-change die holders: die changes of 15 seconds
  • Optional third work clamp, which the Strippit P-1212 does not offer
  • 25 mm (1.0 in) feed clearance for forming
  • All 33 stations accept shaped or round punches and dies

Limitations

  • 33 stations against the 47 of the Strippit M-1225 on the same sheet size
  • No marking rate listed, and 650 HPM at 1 mm pitch is below the 850 HPM of the Strippit M-1225
  • Brush table limited to 79 kg (174 lb) at reduced speed
  • No MOVit load/unload, tower or sorting option is marked as available
  • 3.0 kW standby consumption

Frequently Asked Questions

01 Strippit P-1225 or Strippit M-1225: which fits my work?

Both punch 1,250 x 2,500 mm sheet up to 6.35 mm with 200 kN. The Strippit M-1225 has 47 stations, 850 HPM at 1 mm pitch, 96 m/min positioning and automation options. The Strippit P-1225 has 33 stations, 650 HPM and 82 m/min, and no MOVit options. LVD aims the P line at prototyping and short runs, and the M line at long production runs.

02 How many work clamps does it have?

Two as standard, with an optional third clamp on this size. LVD's Smart Clamp function determines the clamp locations from the tool size, which keeps the no-punch zones around the clamps as small as possible and helps sheet usage.

03 What tooling stations does the turret offer?

33 stations in all, among them two 88.9 mm stations and three 50.8 mm stations. The three 50.8 mm stations are the auto-index stations, listed by LVD as 3C - Ø 50.8 mm, with ± 0.05 degrees angular positioning accuracy.

04 How heavy a sheet can the table carry?

Up to 79 kg (174 lb) on the brush table, and LVD notes that this is at reduced speed. The figure is the same for all three P sizes, so on this longer table it is worth checking the weight of full sheets in thicker gauges before committing a job.

05 What accuracy and power figures does LVD give?

Punching accuracy is ± 0.1 mm and repetitive accuracy ± 0.05 mm. Average power consumption is 6.6 kW, with 3.0 kW in standby operation. The control is listed as Fanuc OiPD and the combined X-Y positioning speed as 82 m/min.
