Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD Strippit P-1212 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD Strippit P-1212 is the smallest format in LVD's Strippit P line: a 200 kN turret punch press with a 33-station turret and a nominal worksheet of 1,250 x 1,250 mm (49.2 x 49.2 in). LVD positions the P line for prototyping, short runs and cell manufacturing, and the square-format table fits that brief. It is sized for blanks and cut-down sheet, not full-length stock; the Strippit P-1225 doubles the length to 2,500 mm for that.
The turret has two 88.9 mm stations and three 50.8 mm stations among its 33, and every station accepts shaped or round punches and dies. The three 50.8 mm stations are the auto-index stations. Die holders are quick-change, with LVD quoting 15 seconds for a die change, which counts for more than hit rate when batches are small.
Hit rates are 650 HPM at 1 mm pitch and 300 HPM at 25.4 mm pitch. Combined X-Y positioning speed is 82 m/min and a tool change takes 1 sec. Material up to 6.35 mm (0.25 in) can be punched, and the 25 mm (1.0 in) feed clearance leaves room for formed features. Stated punching accuracy is ± 0.1 mm, repeatability ± 0.05 mm.
The control is a Fanuc unit, listed as OiPD in the specification table, with a self-prompting colour display. There are two work clamps and, unlike the longer P models, no optional third clamp is listed. The brush table takes up to 79 kg (174 lb) at reduced speed.
No MOVit automation is marked for this machine; the only entry in that list is the tool lubrication system. Standby consumption is 3.0 kW, against an average of 6.6 kW in operation.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Compact 1,250 x 1,250 mm (49.2 x 49.2 in) format for blanks, prototypes and short runs
- 33-station turret with two 88.9 mm and three 50.8 mm stations, all accepting shaped tooling
- Quick-change die holders with a 15 seconds die change
- Fanuc control with a self-prompting colour display
- Punches material up to 6.35 mm (0.25 in) with 200 kN
Limitations
- Worksheet length is 1,250 mm; the Strippit P-1225 takes 2,500 mm
- 650 HPM at 1 mm pitch and 82 m/min are below the 850 HPM and 96 m/min of the Strippit M-1225
- No MOVit automation option is marked for the P line
- Standby power is 3.0 kW, more than three times the 0.9 kW of the Strippit M-1225
- Only two work clamps, with no third clamp option on this size

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The nominal worksheet size is 1,250 x 1,250 mm (49.2 x 49.2 in) and the maximum material thickness is 6.35 mm (0.25 in). The brush table carries up to 79 kg (174 lb) at reduced speed. For longer sheet LVD lists the Strippit P-1225 at 1,250 x 2,500 mm.
02
LVD's table gives the auto-index stations as 3C - Ø 50.8 mm, that is the three 50.8 mm stations. The turret also has two 88.9 mm stations, and all 33 stations take shaped or round punches and dies. Angular positioning accuracy is ± 0.05 degrees.
03
A Fanuc CNC. The specification table lists it as Fanuc OiPD, while the feature text on the same page calls it the Fanuc 0iP control; both describe a control with a self-prompting colour display. Programs are prepared in CADMAN-P, which handles punch sequencing, tool selection and clamp positioning.
04
650 HPM at 1 mm pitch and 300 HPM at 25.4 mm pitch, with 82 m/min combined X-Y positioning and a 1 sec. tool change. LVD lists no marking rate for the P line. Die changes are quoted at 15 seconds with the quick-change die holders.
05
LVD does not mark any MOVit automation system for it: load/unload, Compact Tower, bin sort and robot pick/sort are all shown as not available in the table. The one listed item is the ABS automatic tool lubrication system, which is an option.
