The machine delivers 20 tons of punch force across a 1500×3000 mm work area that handles full 4×10-foot sheet sizes without repositioning, making it equally effective as a standalone workcell or as the punching station in a fully automated FMC line.

The TruPunch 5000's defining feature is TRUMPF's MultiTool system, where a single 2-inch turret station houses a cartridge containing up to 12 different punch-and-die pairs. With 40 turret stations and MultiTool installed throughout, the effective tool inventory reaches 480 unique tools — accessible without manual changeovers during the program. This architecture is transformative for complex parts with many different hole forms, notches, and embosses: what would require multiple setups on a conventional turret press runs in a single uninterrupted program on the TruPunch 5000.
