How much does the LVD Strippit QX-L cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD Strippit QX-L that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD Strippit QX-L is the mid-range member of LVD's punch-laser line, and its specification makes clear what that means: sheet from 0.5 to 3 mm (0.02 to 0.12 in) thick and up to 70 kg (154 lb) in weight. It is a thin-sheet machine. Within that band it punches, forms and laser cuts a 3,050 x 1,525 mm (120.1 x 60.0 in) sheet with a single 20-ton punch head and a 4 kW fiber laser.
The thickness window is the figure to check first. The Strippit PX-L, by comparison, is listed for punching up to 6.35 mm and carries up to 150 kg on its brush table. A shop that works only light-gauge sheet loses nothing by the limit; one that also runs heavier material will.
The punch head follows the PX pattern. A magazine of 20 pockets holds T-style tooling, all stations index a full 360 degrees and take tools up to 90 mm, and with multitools the count rises to as many as 200 tools. Auto-index speed tops out at 120 rpm, and a tool change takes 3 to 7 sec. Forms as high as 75 mm are possible. Hit rates are 900 hpm at 1 mm centers and 425 hpm at 25 mm centers, with a combined axis traverse speed of 110 m/min.
On the laser side, an auto-focus cutting head sets focal position and beam diameter itself and has automatic crash protection. Punched parts leave through a programmable 474 x 525 mm (18.7 x 20.7 in) drop door; a 292 x 525 mm (11.5 x 20.7 in) drop door for laser-cut parts is optional.
Three programmable clamps use LVD's Smart Clamp logic, and an Energy Reduction System limits power use. The published table is shorter than for the other two combination machines: it gives no accuracy, feed clearance or power-consumption rows.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Punching, forming and 4 kW laser cutting on a 3,050 x 1,525 mm (120.1 x 60.0 in) sheet
- 20-pocket magazine with full 360 degrees indexing and up to 200 tools
- Forming up to 75 mm, including countersinks, tabs, knockouts, louvers and continuous embosses
- Auto-focus laser cutting head with automatic crash protection
- Programmable 474 x 525 mm (18.7 x 20.7 in) drop door for punched parts
Limitations
- Sheet thickness is limited to 0.5 to 3 mm (0.02 to 0.12 in)
- Maximum sheet weight is 70 kg (154 lb), against 150 kg on the Strippit PX-L
- The 292 x 525 mm drop door for laser-cut parts is optional
- 110 m/min traverse and 3 to 7 sec. tool change are slower than the 130 m/min and 3 - 6.5 sec. of the Strippit PX-L
- LVD publishes no accuracy or power-consumption figures for this model

Frequently Asked Questions
01
LVD's specification gives a sheet thickness of 0.5 to 3 mm (0.02 to 0.12 in) and a maximum sheet weight of 70 kg (154 lb). That is a narrower range than the Strippit PX-L, which punches up to 6.35 mm.
02
Both pair a single 20-station punch head with a 4 kW laser. The Strippit QX-L is limited to 3 mm sheet and 70 kg, traverses at 110 m/min and is described by LVD as mid-range. The Strippit PX-L punches up to 6.35 mm, carries up to 150 kg, positions at 130 m/min and has a larger chute for laser-cut parts.
03
The magazine has 20 pockets of T-style tooling, and with multitools LVD quotes up to 200 tools. All 20 stations are direct-drive and index a full 360 degrees, at up to 120 rpm, and they accept tool diameters up to 90 mm. A tool change takes 3 to 7 sec.
04
Punched parts drop through a programmable door of 474 x 525 mm (18.7 x 20.7 in) into a parts bin. For laser-cut parts LVD lists an optional drop door of 292 x 525 mm (11.5 x 20.7 in). Scrap conveyors and automation such as Compact Autoload, a bin-sort system or the Compact Tower can be added.
05
LVD lists high forms up to 75 mm, countersinks, tabs, knockouts, louvers and continuous embosses. The ram control is fully programmable and optimises the ram motion automatically. A spot lubrication system for forms is among the options.
