Overview
The Han's Laser MPS-4020D is a gantry laser cutting machine with a 4,000 × 2,000 mm (157.5 × 78.7 in) processing area, the second size in the MPS-D series. Its worktable takes 1,200 kg (2,646 lb) and the machine weighs approx. 4.5 T.
A wider bed changes how a shop nests. Longer parts can be turned across a 2,000 mm sheet, and remnants are larger and easier to reuse. Against the MPS-3015D the table load goes up from 700 kg (1,543 lb), which broadly keeps pace with the bigger sheet.
Speed takes a step down at this size. Maximum positioning speed is 100 m/min and acceleration 1.0 g, where the MPS-3015D reaches 120 m/min and 1.2 g. The accuracy figures do not move: ±0.05 mm/m positioning and ±0.03 mm repositioning.
The frame is welded steel with a honeycomb high-strength beam, driven on both sides by servo motors through reducers and rack and pinion. Han's Laser fits its own cutting control system. Overall dimensions are 6,000 × 2,900 × 2,000 mm (236.2 × 114.2 × 78.7 in), so the machine is only two metres longer than its bed. As with the rest of the series, the laser power is not in the data sheet and neither are Z travel or the electrical supply. Settle them in writing before comparing quotations.
