Price estimate
We do not have a price for the LVD Puma 6525 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The LVD Puma 6525 is the largest Puma flatbed fiber laser and the only one LVD offers with a bevel head. In straight cutting it takes a 6,400 x 2,500 mm (252.0 x 98.4 in) sheet; with the optional bevel head the working format is 6,100 x 2,000 mm (240.2 x 78.7 in).
That reduction is worth understanding before ordering. A tilting head needs room at the edges of the bed, so the bevel format is shorter and narrower than the straight-cut one. LVD presents bevel cutting as a way to prepare material for welding or to create geometrical shapes, which removes a separate edge-preparation step on thick plate.
Width is the other distinction. Y travel is 2,600 mm (102.4 in), against 2,070 mm on the Puma 6020, and X travel is 6,510 mm (256.3 in). The table is rated at 3,600 kg (7,937 lb), the highest in the range, and the shuttle exchange takes 50 sec. Positioning speed remains 140 m/min in X-Y, with +/- 0.050 mm positioning accuracy and +/- 0.025 mm repeatability.
Sources run from 3 kW to 20 kW. For plate work the relevant rows are mild steel at 30 mm (1.2 in) with 12 kW and 45 mm (1.8 in) with 20 kW; stainless steel and aluminium are listed at 30 mm for both. The table gives straight-cut thickness only and does not state bevel capacity.
At 17,200 mm (677.2 in) long, 6,700 mm (263.8 in) wide and about 28,000 kg (61,728 lb), this is a plate-shop installation. Beyond it LVD's range moves to the Taurus, a gantry machine with a bed from 14 m and a 3,200 mm cutting width.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Largest Puma format: 6,400 x 2,500 mm (252.0 x 98.4 in) in straight cutting
- Optional bevel head, unique to this size in the Puma range, with a 6,100 x 2,000 mm (240.2 x 78.7 in) bevel format
- 3,600 kg (7,937 lb) table load on integrated shuttle tables
- 2,600 mm (102.4 in) of Y travel for plate 2,500 mm wide
- 20 kW source option listed at 45 mm (1.8 in) in mild steel
Limitations
- The bevel head is an option and reduces the usable sheet to 6,100 x 2,000 mm
- Longest table changeover in the range at 50 sec.
- Occupies 17,200 x 6,700 mm (677.2 x 263.8 in) before light guards, filter and chiller, and weighs about 28,000 kg
- LVD's table gives no cutting thickness for bevel cuts

Frequently Asked Questions
01
6,100 x 2,000 mm (240.2 x 78.7 in). In straight cutting the maximum sheet is 6,400 x 2,500 mm (252.0 x 98.4 in). The bevel head is an option, and LVD offers it on this Puma size only.
02
3,600 kg (7,937 lb). That compares with 2,500 kg on the Puma 6020 and 1,600 kg on the Puma 4020. Because the tables shuttle with that load, changeover is the slowest in the range at 50 sec.
03
2,500 mm in straight cutting, on 2,600 mm (102.4 in) of Y travel. That is the widest Puma: the Puma 6020 and Puma 4020 take 2,035 mm wide sheets on 2,070 mm of Y travel. With the bevel head the width is 2,000 mm.
04
When parts or nests are longer than this bed. The Taurus is a modular gantry laser with a bed from 14 up to 42 m and straight-cut travel of 3,200 mm in Y, and it starts at 12 kW. The Puma 6525 is the shuttle-table machine, with sources from 3 kW and a fixed 6,400 x 2,500 mm format.
05
3, 6, 12 or 20 kW. Mild steel is listed at 15 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm and 45 mm for those four sources. Stainless steel and aluminium are 12 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm and 30 mm. Copper is 6 mm, 8 mm, 15 mm and 15 mm, and brass 5 mm, 8 mm, 15 mm and 15 mm.
