Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Litz DV-1000 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Litz DV-1000 is the one-metre member of the DV vertical machining center series, with travels of 1,020 mm (40.2 in) in X, 560 mm (22.0 in) in Y and 600 mm (23.6 in) in Z. The table is 1,000 x 560 mm (39.4 x 22.0 in) and takes 750 kg (1,653 lb), which is where the series moves from small-part work into mould bases, plates and multi-vise setups.
Unlike the smaller DV models, the X stroke here is slightly longer than the table, so the spindle can reach both ends of anything clamped on it. Two or three vises in a row is the obvious layout. Z clearance is 120 to 720 mm (4.7 to 28.3 in) from spindle nose to table.
The spindle is unchanged from the DV-800: 10,000 rpm, BBT-40, 7.5 / 11 kW (10 / 15 HP) continuous and 30 min. A bigger envelope with the same motor means the DV-1000 is a larger-capacity machine, not a stronger one. Buyers who need more spindle power at about this size should look at the DV-1200A, which is listed at 11 / 15 kW.
Axis rapids stay at 36 / 36 / 24 m/min (1,417 / 1,417 / 945 ipm) despite the heavier table. The machine weighs 7,000 kg (15,432 lb), needs 25 kVA and carries 290 L of coolant. Tools up to 300 mm (11.8 in) long fit the 24-tool arm changer.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 1,020 x 560 x 600 mm travels with a 750 kg (1,653 lb) table load
- X travel of 1,020 mm (40.2 in) covers the full 1,000 mm table length
- Keeps 36 / 36 / 24 m/min (1,417 / 1,417 / 945 ipm) rapids at this size
- Tool length up to 300 mm (11.8 in) with 120 to 720 mm (4.7 to 28.3 in) under the spindle nose
- 15,000 rpm spindle and coolant through the spindle available as options
Limitations
- Same 7.5 / 11 kW (10 / 15 HP) spindle motor as the smaller DV-800
- Chip conveyor is an option; the standard machine has a chip auger and chip cart
- At 7,000 kg (15,432 lb) and 25 kVA it needs more floor and supply than the DV-800 at 5,300 kg and 20 kVA

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Travels are 1,020 mm (40.2 in), 560 mm (22.0 in) and 600 mm (23.6 in) in X, Y and Z. The table is 1,000 x 560 mm (39.4 x 22.0 in) with a 750 kg (1,653 lb) limit, and the spindle nose is 120 to 720 mm (4.7 to 28.3 in) above it.
02
No. Both are listed at 10,000 rpm with a BBT-40 shank and a 7.5 / 11 kW (10 / 15 HP) motor, continuous and 30 min rated. The DV-1000 adds travel and table load. The DV-1200A is the DV model with a larger motor, 11 / 15 kW.
03
Rapid traverse is 36 m/min (1,417 ipm) in X and Y and 24 m/min (945 ipm) in Z. Cutting feed is programmable from 1 to 20,000 mm/min. Axis motors are 2.0 / 2.0 / 3.5 kW for X, Y and Z.
04
Machine weight is 7,000 kg (15,432 lb). Litz lists a 25 kVA power requirement, a compressed air source of 6 kg/cm² and a 290 L coolant tank. The standard control is the Mitsubishi M80, with FANUC 0i-MF and Siemens 828D as options.
