Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Komo Xtreme 5-Axis Twin Table that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Komo Xtreme 5-Axis Twin Table combines the two things the names promise: a five-axis head and a pair of tables that take turns under it. Finished parts come off one table while the head trims on the other.
Three table sets are listed. The 1005 has two tables of 60 in x 60 in (1,524 mm x 1,524 mm), the 1006 two of 60 in x 72 in (1,524 mm x 1,829 mm) and the 1008 two of 60 in x 84 in (1,524 mm x 2,134 mm). Travels are given for two of them: 156 in (3,962 mm) x 77 in (1,956 mm) x 24 in (610 mm) for the 1005 and 156 in (3,962 mm) x 118 in (2,997 mm) x 24 in (610 mm) for the 1008. Komo prints no travel line for the 1006.
The spindle is the smallest in Komo's router range, 11.7 hp (8.7 kW), liquid cooled, with an HSK 63F taper and a top speed of 20,000 rpm. That rating fits trimming and light profiling in wood, plastics and composites, the two material groups Komo recommends, and not heavy stock removal. The feed block lists Y and V axes together at 2,300 ipm (58.5 m/min), which points to a separate axis for each table. X also runs at 2,300 ipm (58.5 m/min), Z at 1,200 ipm (30.5 m/min) and the A and C axes at 74.4°/sec.
Twelve tools are standard and a second optional 12 station changer brings the total to 24. Controls are FANUC with an integrated PC and a 19 in touch screen display.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Five-axis head working over two tables, so loading does not stop the spindle
- 24 in (610 mm) of Z travel on the 1005 and 1008
- Three table sets from two 60 in x 60 in (1,524 mm x 1,524 mm) to two 60 in x 84 in (1,524 mm x 2,134 mm)
- Y and V axes listed at 2,300 ipm (58.5 m/min), one for each table
- 12 tools as standard, 24 with a second optional 12 station tool changer
Limitations
- The 11.7 hp (8.7 kW) spindle tops out at 20,000 rpm, where the Xtreme 5-Axis has 13.4 hp (10 kW) and 24,000 rpm
- X traverse is 2,300 ipm (58.5 m/min), below the 3,150 ipm (80 m/min) of the Xtreme 5-Axis
- Komo lists a 1006 table set but gives no axis travels for it
- Tool length in the changer is limited to 5 in (127 mm)

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Komo lists three sets of two tables: 60 in x 60 in (1,524 mm x 1,524 mm) on the 1005, 60 in x 72 in (1,524 mm x 1,829 mm) on the 1006 and 60 in x 84 in (1,524 mm x 2,134 mm) on the 1008. The standard surface is a composite universal grid fixture table, with aluminum as an option.
02
They are the two table axes. Komo's feed block lists Y and V axes together at 2,300 ipm (58.5 m/min), which indicates that each table is driven on its own axis. One table can therefore sit at the loading position while the other moves under the head.
03
One Hiteco or HSD spindle rated 11.7 hp (8.7 kW), four-pole and liquid cooled, with an HSK 63F taper and up to 20,000 rpm, fully programmable. Tools can weigh 12 lbs each and 80 lbs in total (5.4 kg / 36.4 kg) and measure up to 3.25 in (82 mm) in diameter with all positions full.
04
The Xtreme 5-Axis has one table of up to 60 in x 144 in (1,524 mm x 3,658 mm), a 13.4 hp (10 kW) spindle at up to 24,000 rpm and X traverse of 3,150 ipm (80 m/min). The twin table machine trades spindle power and speed for a second table. Both have 24 in (610 mm) of Z travel and A and C axes at 74.4°/sec.
