Overview

The HOLZ-HER EVOLUTION 7405 PinJet combines the four-edge formatting of the EVOLUTION 7405 with fully automatic doweling. A panel can be routed to size on all four edges, drilled, and have its dowels driven before it leaves the 3,200 mm (126.0 in) machine.

PinJet is a dowel insertion unit fed from reservoirs inside the machine. In the controller the operator selects “Insert dowel”; the machine then drills, pretreats the hole and inserts the dowel without further input. Pretreatment means moistening the drilled hole through a process-controlled mist nozzle, for which there is a central water connection. Precoated dowels are the normal case, and the “Insert dowel dry” setting lets uncoated dowels be used too. Dowel diameter is 8 mm.

03 Why does the PinJet need a water connection?
