How much does the Juaristi MX7-RAM cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Juaristi MX7-RAM that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Spindle torque of up to 4,050 Nm (2,987 lb-ft) is the figure that separates the Juaristi MX7-RAM from the size below it. This travelling column boring-milling center carries a 160-180 mm boring bar with 800 mm (31.5 in) of W travel, on a RAM whose Z stroke is 1,200-1,500 mm.
The torque row reads 1,950-4,050 Nm and the power row 46/64 kW. On the MX5-RAM the corresponding rows are 1,850-2,250 Nm and 37/46 kW, so the upper torque figure nearly doubles while the bar grows by one size step. For heavy boring and large face mills in steel that matters more than any travel figure. Speed is 3,000–2,500 min-1 through 2 ranges.
The column is taller as well. Vertical travel starts at 3,000 mm and goes to 6,000 mm in 500 mm steps, with X at 4,000 mm plus N x 2,000 mm. The RAM section is unchanged at 460 x 520 mm, so the extra cutting force goes through the same RAM as on the smaller machine; Juaristi points to four-sided guiding and to real-time compensation of the head and RAM centre of gravity and RAM flexion as the means of holding geometry.
Rapid feeds are 30-25-25-15 m/min in X, Y, Z and W. The table gives no accuracy figure and no weight, and it does not say when a machine gets the 1,200 mm or the 1,500 mm RAM stroke.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Spindle torque of 1,950-4,050 Nm with head power of 46/64 kW
- Boring bar of 160-180 mm with 800 mm of W travel
- Vertical travel from 3,000 mm to 6,000 mm
- RAM stroke of 1,200-1,500 mm with four-sided guiding
- Tool changers with 30-120 positions (chain type) or up to 400 positions (robot type)
Limitations
- RAM section remains 460 x 520 mm; the 520 x 580 mm RAM comes with the MX9-RAM
- W travel is 800 mm, no more than on the MX5-RAM
- Speed of 3,000–2,500 min-1 is lower than the 3,500–3,000 min-1 of the MX5-RAM
- The table does not explain the choice between 1,200 mm and 1,500 mm of Z

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The table lists spindle torque of 1,950-4,050 Nm (1,438-2,987 lb-ft) and head power of 46/64 kW, with 2 ranges and a spindle speed of 3,000–2,500 min-1. Which bar diameter, 160 mm or 180 mm, goes with the higher values is not stated.
02
X is 4,000 mm plus N x 2,000 mm. Y starts at 3,000 mm and is extended in 500 mm steps up to 6,000 mm. Z, the RAM stroke, is 1,200-1,500 mm (47.2-59.1 in) and W, the boring bar travel, is 800 mm.
03
They are the same column size with different spindles. The MX7 has milling heads at 5,000 – 6,000 min-1 with torque of 1,300 / 2,200 Nm and a RAM stroke of 1,650 – 1,800 mm. The MX7-RAM has a boring bar, torque up to 4,050 Nm at 3,000–2,500 min-1, and a shorter RAM stroke of 1,200-1,500 mm plus 800 mm of W.

Yes, according to Juaristi's feature list for the MX-RAM series, which names a universal head, a vertical automatic head and an orthogonal head, and head magazines with up to 10 automatic change positions. The table itself only gives the boring spindle data, so head ratings should be requested.
