We do not have a price for the Huron NX 60 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Huron NX 60 is the wide-table member of the NX portal series. Its 3,000 x 2,000 mm table carries 10,000 kg (22,046 lb), and travels are 3,200 x 2,200 x 800 mm (126.0 x 86.6 x 31.5 in). Machine weight is 34,000 kg (74,957 lb).
Huron stresses the wide distance between uprights in this series, and on the NX 60 that feature defines the machine. A 2,200 mm Y stroke over a 2,000 mm table means a plate two metres square can be covered edge to edge in one clamping. Parts of that size are common in press tooling, machine bases and energy-sector components.
All three axes traverse at 15 m/min. That is slower than the NX 40, whose X and Y reach 20 m/min, and reflects the mass being moved. Accuracy figures are the series standard, 0.020 mm positioning and 0.008 mm repeatability.
The cutting end is the ISO 50 spindle found across the range, with 32.3 kW, 170 Nm, a 1,750 rpm nominal speed and a 6,000 rpm ceiling. Forty tool housings take cutters of 125 mm diameter, or 220 mm with neighbours empty. Z travel is 800 mm, so the NX 60 suits flat, heavy work better than tall housings. It installs in 6,160 x 10,600 mm.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 10,000 kg (22,046 lb) table load
- 2,200 mm of Y travel over a 3,000 x 2,000 mm table
- 34,000 kg (74,957 lb) structure with floor anchoring
- Friction-guided vertical axis for roughing, per Huron's feature list
- Tunnel-type shroud that Huron says gives outstanding access to table and workpiece
Limitations
- 15 m/min rapids on every axis
- Z travel is 800 mm, limiting tall workpieces
- Spindle torque of 170 Nm is the same as on the 22,000 kg NX 40
- Footprint of 6,160 x 10,600 mm with doors open and conveyor

Frequently Asked Questions
01
Y travel is 2,200 mm (86.6 in) and the table is 2,000 mm wide, so the spindle covers the full table width. X travel is 3,200 mm and Z travel is 800 mm.
02
10,000 kg (22,046 lb) on a 3,000 x 2,000 mm table. The NX 70 has the same load rating on a longer 3,500 x 2,000 mm table.
03
An ISO 50 spindle with a maximum of 6,000 rpm, 32.3 kW and 170 Nm. The tool changer has 40 housings for tools up to 350 mm long and 15 kg. Maximum tool diameter is 125 mm, or 220 mm with adjacent housings left free.
04
34,000 kg (74,957 lb). Overall measurements with doors opened and conveyor are 6,160 mm wide, 10,600 mm deep and 4,630 mm high. Huron specifies floor anchoring to guarantee precision and geometric stability.
