HNK HB-110 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the HNK HB-110 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from HNK or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

The HNK HB-110 is a table-type CNC horizontal boring and milling machine built around a Ø110 mm (4.3 in) spindle that runs from 5 to 3,000 rpm. X travel is 1,600 mm (63.0 in), with 2,000 mm (78.7 in) shown in braces, and Y travel is 1,500 mm (59.1 in).

A caution about this model's table on HNK's site. The Z-axis and W-axis entries for the HB-110 are printed with mismatched brackets, so those two travels are left out of the specification here and need to be confirmed with the maker. The neighbouring HB-110M lists 1,000 mm (39.4 in) of Z and 350 mm (13.8 in) of W; the HB-130S lists 1,300 mm (51.2 in) and 700 mm (27.6 in).

The rotary table measures 1,150 x 1,250 mm (45.3 x 49.2 in) and carries 5,000 kg (11,023 lb), or 6,000 kg (13,228 lb) in braces. It rotates at 2 rpm and indexes at 0.001°, pin-located every 90°. Spindle power is 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp), cont/30min, with 25/30 kW (33.5/40.2 hp) in braces, through an ISO 50 taper.

In the series this is the larger of the two Ø110 mm machines and the last before the spindle grows to Ø130 mm (5.1 in) on the HB-130S. It keeps the higher 3,000 rpm ceiling, which the HB-130S gives up for 2,500 rpm. Controls listed are Fanuc 31i-B and Siemens 840D.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 5 to 3,000 rpm on a Ø110 mm (4.3 in) spindle, the higher of the HB speed ranges
  • Spindle motor of 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp), with 25/30 kW (33.5/40.2 hp) in braces
  • 5,000 kg (11,023 lb) rotary table, 1,150 x 1,250 mm (45.3 x 49.2 in)
  • X travel of 1,600 mm (63.0 in), or 2,000 mm (78.7 in) in braces

Limitations

  • Z and W travels are not printed cleanly on the maker's page for this model
  • Table rotation of 2 rpm, slower than the 3 rpm of the HB-110M
  • Ø110 mm (4.3 in) spindle; heavier boring calls for the Ø130 mm (5.1 in) HB-130S
06

Best For

Mid-size housings and frames up to 5,000 kg (11,023 lb) Boring and milling that benefits from 3,000 rpm Four-face machining on a 1,150 x 1,250 mm (45.3 x 49.2 in) table

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the Z travel of the HB-110?

It cannot be read reliably from HNK's page: the Z-axis and W-axis cells for the HB-110 are printed with mismatched brackets. X is 1,600 mm (63.0 in) with 2,000 mm (78.7 in) in braces, and Y is 1,500 mm (59.1 in). Ask HNK for the Z and W figures.

02 How much can the HB-110 table carry?

5,000 kg (11,023 lb), with 6,000 kg (13,228 lb) printed in braces. The table is 1,150 x 1,250 mm (45.3 x 49.2 in) and is a rotary type with 0.001° indexing.

03 How does the HB-110 compare with the HB-130S?

The HB-130S moves to a Ø130 mm (5.1 in) spindle at 5 to 2,500 rpm, a 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp) motor, 2,000 mm (78.7 in) of X travel and a 7,000 kg (15,432 lb) table. The HB-110 has the Ø110 mm (4.3 in) spindle at up to 3,000 rpm.

04 Which spindle taper does the HB-110 use?

ISO 50, the taper listed for every HB model. The spindle motor is rated 18.5/22 kW (24.8/29.5 hp) on HNK's cont/30min basis.
