HNK HB-130S — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the HNK HB-130S that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from HNK or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

With the HNK HB-130S the HB series moves to a Ø130 mm (5.1 in) boring spindle. It is the smallest of five machines built on that spindle, with a 1,400 x 1,600 mm (55.1 x 63.0 in) rotary table and base travels of 2,000 mm (78.7 in) in X and 1,500 mm (59.1 in) in Y.

This model has the most figures in braces of any HB. X is 2,000 mm with 3,000 mm (118.1 in) in braces, Y is 1,500 mm with 2,000 mm (78.7 in) in braces, and Z is 1,300 mm (51.2 in) with 1,600 mm (63.0 in) in braces. Taken at the braced values, its travels match the base travels of the HB-130. A buyer should therefore price both: an extended HB-130S and a standard HB-130 cover similar ground with different tables.

The spindle runs 5 to 2,500 rpm on an ISO 50 taper, with a 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp) motor, cont/30min, and 30/35 kW (40.2/46.9 hp) in braces. W-axis travel is 700 mm (27.6 in), twice that of the HB-110M, which lets the quill reach into a housing without long tool extensions.

Table load is 7,000 kg (15,432 lb), or 9,000 kg (19,841 lb) in braces, at 2 rpm rotation and 0.001° indexing. Controls: Fanuc 31i-B, Siemens 840D.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • Ø130 mm (5.1 in) spindle with 700 mm (27.6 in) of W-axis travel
  • 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp) motor, with 30/35 kW (40.2/46.9 hp) in braces
  • X, Y and Z each list a longer travel in braces
  • Table rotation of 2 rpm, faster than the 1.4 rpm of the HB-130

Limitations

  • 7,000 kg (15,432 lb) base table load, against 12,000 kg (26,455 lb) on the HB-130
  • Top speed of 2,500 rpm, below the 3,000 rpm of the HB-110
  • Base Y travel of 1,500 mm (59.1 in) is no more than the HB-110 offers

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What travels does the HB-130S have?

X 2,000 mm (78.7 in), Y 1,500 mm (59.1 in), Z 1,300 mm (51.2 in) and W 700 mm (27.6 in). HNK prints 3,000 mm (118.1 in), 2,000 mm (78.7 in) and 1,600 mm (63.0 in) in braces after the X, Y and Z figures.

02 How is the HB-130S different from the HB-130?

Spindle, speed and motor are the same. The HB-130 has base travels of 3,000 mm (118.1 in) in X and 2,000 mm (78.7 in) in Y, a 1,600 x 1,800 mm (63.0 x 70.9 in) table and 12,000 kg (26,455 lb) of load. The HB-130S starts from 2,000 mm (78.7 in), 1,500 mm (59.1 in), a 1,400 x 1,600 mm (55.1 x 63.0 in) table and 7,000 kg (15,432 lb).

03 What spindle does the HB-130S use?

A Ø130 mm (5.1 in) boring spindle with an ISO 50 taper, a speed range of 5 to 2,500 rpm and a 22/26 kW (29.5/34.9 hp) motor. Spindle speed is a starred row that HNK will change on request.

04 How much weight does the HB-130S rotary table take?

7,000 kg (15,432 lb), with 9,000 kg (19,841 lb) in braces. The table measures 1,400 x 1,600 mm (55.1 x 63.0 in), rotates at 2 rpm and indexes at 0.001° with pin location every 90°.
