Overview
The Hedelius TILTENTA 7-2000 NEO is the compact entry to the TILTENTA line: a travelling column machining centre with an infinitely variable swivelling main spindle and an NC rotary table integrated into a long fixed table. Four axes are in the tool and one in the workpiece. X travel is 2,000 mm (78.7 in) with the spindle vertical and 1,430 mm with it horizontal, Y is 700 mm, and Z is 735 / 800 mm (vertical / horizontal).
Hedelius sums the model up as compact and automatable, and the data sheet agrees on the second point: it files this size as an EL machine. The page describes a day-and-night routine. During the day the machine handles single parts, long components and 5-axis work by hand. After hours it produces small and medium series unmanned, connected to the MARATHON SR415 pallet automation system.
The spindle head swivels from -5° to +98°, or from -98° to +98°, around a centre of rotation of 285 mm, with 2,000 Nm of swivel torque and 2,500 Nm when clamped. The rotary table has a Ø 700 mm faceplate, turns at 15 min-1 and holds parts up to 800 kg (1,764 lb) within a 1,050 mm interference circle. Beside it, the fixed table offers 2,240 x 700 mm for 2,000 kg, which is where long parts and vices go.
Data sheet spindles are SK40 / BT40 at 14,000 rpm with 22 kW or with 183 Nm and 29 kW, and HSK A63 at 18,000 rpm with 35 kW; the page adds a 24,000 rpm unit with 30 kW. In the tool capacity row, the 45-place figure is marked as not for EL, so confirm the magazine. Machine weight is 11,000 kg (24,250 lb).

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- Swivelling main spindle with a range of -5° to +98° or -98° to +98°, clamped with 2,500 Nm
- Integrated NC rotary table with Ø 700 mm faceplate for parts up to 800 kg and 1,050 mm diameter
- Fixed 2,240 x 700 mm table for 2,000 kg alongside the rotary table
- Connection to the MARATHON SR415 pallet automation system for unmanned shifts
- Workpiece weight does not affect the dynamics, since four of the five axes are in the tool
Limitations
- X travel drops from 2,000 mm to 1,430 mm when the spindle is horizontal
- The rotary table turns at 15 min-1, a positioning and contouring speed only
- The 45-place magazine is marked not for EL in the data sheet, which files this size as an EL machine
- Spindle power tops out at 35 kW in the data sheet

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The main spindle swivels infinitely variably, from -5° to +98° or from -98° to +98°, and an NC rotary table with a Ø 700 mm faceplate is integrated into the machine table. Together with X, Y and Z that gives four axes in the tool and one in the workpiece.
02
X is 2,000 mm with the spindle vertical and 1,430 mm horizontal. Y is 700 mm. Z is 735 mm vertical and 800 mm horizontal. The spindle distance is 20 to 755 mm, and feeds reach 40 m/min on all three linear axes.
03
The integrated rotary table takes workpieces up to 800 kg (1,764 lb), with an interference circle of 1,050 mm, 2,200 Nm of torque and 2,900 Nm of holding torque. The fixed table, with a clamping area of 2,240 x 700 mm, takes 2,000 kg (4,409 lb).
04
Hedelius describes exactly that: thanks to the connection to the MARATHON SR415 pallet automation system, the machine produces small and medium-sized series in unmanned operation after work, while the day shift handles complex single parts and long or heavy components.
05
The data sheet lists SK40 / BT40 at 14,000 rpm with 117 Nm and 22 kW or with 183 Nm and 29 kW, and HSK A63 at 18,000 rpm with 136 Nm and 35 kW. The product page also shows an HSK A63 spindle at 24,000 rpm with 123 Nm and 30 kW.
