Overview
The Hedelius TILTENTA 9-6200 stretches the swivel-spindle concept to travel paths of 6200 x 900 x 900 mm, with 6,200 mm (244.1 in) in X. It is a 5-axis travelling column machining centre for large-format workpieces, with a fixed table whose contact surface measures 6,680 x 900 mm.
Length changes what the swivelling spindle is good for. On a short machine, the horizontal position is mostly for 5-sided work on the rotary table.
