Overview
The Hedelius TILTENTA 10-2600 is the short version of the maker's SK50 swivel-spindle machine: a 5-axis travelling column machining centre with a 300 Nm, 50 kW spindle, an integrated heavy-duty rotary table option for workpieces up to 2,200 kg, and an X travel of 2,600 mm (102.4 in). Hedelius aims it at heavy-duty chipping in machine and tool construction where space is at a premium.
Short is relative, and on this model it has a consequence worth knowing. With the spindle vertical the X travel is 2,600 mm; with the spindle horizontal it is 1,730 mm, because the larger SK50 head has a centre of rotation of 420 mm. Y travel is 1,000 mm and Z is 1,000 / 1,165 mm (vertical / horizontal). The head swivels from -5° to +98° or from -98° to +98° and is clamped hydraulically, with 10,000 Nm when clamped against 2,400 Nm of swivel torque.
The spindle uses the SK50 BIG PLUS duplex contact system as standard, with HSK A100 as the option. Hedelius explains that simultaneous taper and face contact gives a very stable connection, while the spindle remains compatible with common SK50 holders. Top speed is 8,000 or 12,000 rpm, and the rating in E335/St60-2 is 1,050 cm3/min of milling.
The rotary table has a Ø 1,000 mm faceplate, 4,200 Nm of torque and a holding torque of 12,000 Nm; its load is 1,600 / 2,200 kg, the higher figure optional. The fixed table, 3,080 x 1,000 mm, takes 4,500 kg (9,921 lb). Tools up to 400 mm long and 12 kg come from a 40-place magazine with access to up to 192. Machine weight is 22,500 kg (49,603 lb).
