Overview
The Hedelius ACURA 50 EL is the ACURA 50 with a loading opening in its right-hand side wall and a prepared interface, so that a pallet handling system or a robot of the buyer's choosing can feed it. Hedelius calls this manufacturer-independent automation. The opening is approx. 600 x 840 mm and is closed by a pneumatically activated stainless steel door.
Why load from the side? Because the front stays free. The operator's door keeps its full access to the work area while the automation is attached, so the machine can run single parts by hand during the day and pallets unattended afterwards. A 4-fold rotary transfer for pneumatics is built into the machine table to actuate zero point clamping elements or force clamps, which is what an automated pallet change needs at the table.
The cutting side is the standard machine. Travels are 500 mm in X and 550 mm in Z, and Y is listed as 550 / 370 mm (horizontal / vertical). The rotating/swivelling table is Ø 500 x 430 mm with five 14 mm T-slots, swivels from +30° to -115°, and carries 300 kg (661 lb) inside an interference circle of Ø 550 mm. That 300 kg has to cover the pallet, the clamping device and the part together.
Spindles in the data sheet are SK40 / BT40 at 14,000 rpm with 22 kW or 29 kW, and HSK A63 at 18,000 rpm with 35 kW or 14,000 rpm with 22 kW.
