Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hedelius TILTENTA 10-6200 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Hedelius TILTENTA 10-6200 is the largest machine in the Hedelius range by weight, at 33,000 kg (72,751 lb). It is a 5-axis travelling column machining centre with a swivelling SK50 spindle, and Hedelius lists its capabilities in one line: full 5-axis machining up to 2,200 kg, vertical machining up to 6,200 mm, front side processing up to approx. 5,000 mm, oscillating machining and SK50 power.
Take those in turn. The 2,200 kg applies to the optional heavy-duty rotary table; the listed figure is 1,600 kg, on a Ø 1,000 mm faceplate with 12,000 Nm of holding torque. The 6,200 mm is the X travel with the spindle vertical, over a fixed table of 6,680 x 1,000 mm for 8,000 kg (17,637 lb). For the horizontal spindle the data sheet gives 5,360 mm of X travel, and Hedelius's approx. 5,000 mm is the workpiece length it quotes for end-face work. Oscillating machining means two areas of 2,765 x 2,765 mm.
Hedelius adds that all this comes with constant machine dynamics, regardless of the workpiece weight, since the 8,000 kg never moves. The tool magazine travels with the column, which keeps chip-to-chip times short over the entire travel path; the data sheet value is ca. 15 s.
SK50 power is 300 Nm and 50 kW at up to 8,000 or 12,000 rpm, with 34,000 N of feed force and Y and Z travels of 1,000 mm and 1,000 / 1,165 mm. Among the accessories Hedelius names are pick-up magazines for extra-long tools and vertical rotary tables for shaft machining. Motor-activated automatic doors are fitted.

X 6,200 mm with the spindle vertical and 5,360 mm horizontal, Y 1,000 mm, and Z 1,000 mm vertical or 1,165 mm horizontal. Pendulum operation divides X into two areas of 2,765 mm. Feeds are 40 m/min with up to 34,000 N of feed force.
03
The tool magazine travels with the column. Hedelius states that this gives short chip-to-chip times over the entire travel path. The data sheet figure is ca. 15 s for a pre-selected tool, with 40 tools as standard and access to up to 192.
04
Pick-up magazines for extra-long tools and vertical rotary tables for shaft machining, among numerous accessories. Standard tool length in the magazine is up to 400 mm, so the pick-up magazine is the route for longer boring and drilling tools.
