How much does the Hartford HSA-728 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Hartford HSA-728 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Seven metres long and 2,500 mm wide: the Hartford HSA-728 is a double-column machining center with 7,000 mm (275.6 in) of X travel, 2,800 mm (110.2 in) of Y and a 7,000 x 2,500 mm (275.6 x 98.4 in) table rated for 25,000 kg (55,115 lb).
Hartford does not list a seven-metre machine in every HSA width. There is no x27 and no x32 version at this length in the range; the choice is between this model and the wider HSA-736. That makes the decision simple. If the parts fit within a 2,500 mm table the HSA-728 does the job with a shorter cross-beam.
A moving table seven metres long needs twice that length of floor, since the table travels its own length under the bridge. Planning the installation therefore starts with the building, and Hartford's product page gives no footprint. It should be requested early.
The machine follows the large-HSA pattern: three linear guideways on X, a supported X ballscrew, a slant cross-beam and a four-guideway Z ram with 780 mm of travel (1,000 mm or 1,200 mm optional). Spindles are #50, as gear head at 6,000 / 8,000 rpm, DDS at 10,000 / 12,000 rpm or built-in at 12,000 rpm, with 15 / 18.5 kW to 30 /37 kW. The magazine holds 32 tools, or 40 or 60.
