How much does the Fidia Linea C6 cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Fidia Linea C6 that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
The Fidia Linea C6 is the longest Linea C composites gantry, at 6,200 mm (244 in) of X travel. Y travel is 3,000 mm (118 in) and Z is 1,200 mm (47 in), the same cross-section as the shorter sizes.
Long composite parts are where this length pays. Over 6,200 mm (244 in), the 60 m/min speed in X and Y from the linear motors cuts the time lost travelling between trim lines and hole patterns. Z moves at 30 m/min.
Six spindles are listed. Four fit either head: 35 kW or 30 kW, each at 20,000 1/min or 24,000 1/min. Two 55 kW spindles, again at 20,000 1/min or 24,000 1/min, are only for M5A. Every one uses HSK63A, and Fidia offers them with permanent grease or air/oil lubrication. The M5C has an aluminum body; the M5A, in cast iron, is the head to pick if 55 kW is needed.
Dust from graphite and CFC can be potentially explosive, so the Linea C uses ATEX Zone 22 filtration units and a push-pull airflow through the working chamber, with collectors and retractable hoods at the spindle. A 24 or 42-position magazine sits behind an automatic protective door. For shorter work, the Linea C4 has 4,500 mm (177 in) of X.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 6,200 mm (244 in) of X travel for long composite parts
- Six HSK63A spindle options from 30 kW to 55 kW
- Push-pull airflow keeps the whole working chamber clean
- Structural robustness that Fidia states is equal to that of its aluminum and steel milling machines
Limitations
- The 55 kW spindles are listed only for the M5A head
- Y travel is 3,000 mm (118 in) on every size, so width does not grow with length
- Maximum spindle speed is 24,000 1/min; nothing faster is listed for small routing tools
- Filtration units and ducting have to be planned along a machine more than 6,200 mm (244 in) long

Frequently Asked Questions
01
X travel is 6,200 mm (244 in), the longest of the three Linea C versions. Y travel is 3,000 mm (118 in) and Z travel is 1,200 mm (47 in) on all of them, so the sizes differ only in length.
02
All are HSK63A. The 35-20G and 30L-20G run at 20,000 1/min and the 35-24 and 30L-24 at 24,000 1/min, with 35 kW or 30 kW. The 55-20G and 55-24 spindles, with 55 kW, are listed only for M5A.
03
Fidia equips the Linea C with ATEX Zone 22 filtration units, which it describes as mandatory for potentially explosive dust such as graphite and CFC. Dust is captured at the source by collectors and retractable hoods, and a push-pull airflow carries the rest to the filters.
04
X and Y move at 60 m/min on linear motors and Z at 30 m/min. Fidia states that the linear motors guarantee maximum speed and acceleration, and the brochure gives an axis acceleration of 4 m/s².
