Vision Wide GSA-3032 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the Vision Wide GSA-3032 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from Vision Wide or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

Head accuracy is the subject to study on the Vision Wide GSA-3032. A two-axis head that tilts and swivels a 50/65 kW (67.1/87.2 hp) spindle has to return to each angle exactly, and over a 3,000×3,200 mm (118.1×126.0 in) table a small angular error becomes a visible step where two angled cuts meet.

Vision Wide addresses this in three places. IAC head rotation error mechanism chain correction is standard: the errors in the head's mechanical chain are measured and compensated. Automatic correction software of rotary axis error is an option, for re-checking the rotary axes in the shop. And auto workpiece measurement, also optional, lets the machine find the part before cutting.

A protection system comes as standard as well. It monitors spindle and motor temperature and rotation axis motor temperature, and limits spindle cutting load in software.

None of these items has a figure attached on the GSA page. The series text promises that the IAC 2-axis head achieves 5-axis accuracy performance, without stating a tolerance, so ask for the head's indexing accuracy and repeatability.

Travels are 3,000 mm (118.1 in) in X and 3,200 mm (126.0 in) in Y. Rapids are 32/32/20 m/min.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 How accurate is the head on the Vision Wide GSA-3032?

The page gives no figure. Head rotation error mechanism chain correction is standard and automatic correction software of rotary axis error is optional. Request the indexing accuracy and repeatability of the B and C axes from the maker.

02 What does the GSA-3032 head protection system do?

It is listed as spindle and motor temperature monitoring, rotation axis motor temperature monitoring and spindle cutting load software protection, all part of the standard IAC head protection system.

03 What are the GSA-3032 travels?

3,000 mm (118.1 in) in X, 3,200 mm (126.0 in) in Y and 1,000/1,200 mm (39.4/47.2 in)(Opt.) in Z. The table is 3,000×3,200 mm (118.1×126.0 in).

04 Does the GSA-3032 have workpiece probing?

Auto workpiece measurement is on the optional accessory list for the GSA series. It is not included in the standard machine.
