Overview
The Pinnacle QV117 is the entry model of the heavy-duty QV line: box ways on all axes, 1,140 mm (44.9 in) of X, 710 mm (28.0 in) of Y and 610 mm (24.0 in) of Z, in a machine that weighs 9,000 kg (19,841 lb).
QV machines pair the wide four-slideway base of the LV117 group with square sliding ways. Pinnacle gives the way hardness as over HRC55 with over 2 mm depth and fits 40mm class C3 ball screws. Rapids are accordingly modest at 20 / 20 / 16 m/min.
Both tapers are listed. The ISO40 spindle has 7.5 / 11 kW (10.1 / 14.8 hp) and reaches 40 - 8,000(10,000/12,000) rpm on a belt. The ISO50 spindle has 11 / 15 kW (14.8 / 20.1 hp) and is listed at 40 - 6,000 (8,000) rpm on a belt or through a gear head at L40 ~ 1500, H1501 ~ 6000 rpm. Pinnacle summarises the choice as 6,000 rpm for ISO50 belt or gear, and 8,000, 10,000 or 12,000 rpm for belt-driven ISO40.
The 1,300 x 700 mm (51.2 x 27.6 in) table takes 1,000 kg (2,205 lb). ISO50 machines can have a DISK / CHAIN magazine with 24 / 32 tools up to 350 mm (13.8 in) long. Floor space is 3,250 × 3,235 mm (128.0 × 127.4 in), with a 30 kVA supply and a 350 L coolant tank.
