How much does the Feeler SHB-130XXRM cost?
Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler SHB-130XXRM that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
For most heavy boring work the Feeler SHB-130XXRM is the balanced configuration in the SHB series: the 130 mm (5.1 in) spindle, a 1,800 x 2,000 mm (70.9 x 78.7 in) rotary table and a 15 ton load rating.
Each of those three is the middle or upper value on Feeler's page, and they fit one another. A 15 ton casting on a two-metre table generally has long bores and heavy sections, which is the work a 130 mm quill is made for. The W-axis travel of 700 mm (27.6 in), or 900 mm in brackets, lets that quill reach toward the middle of the table.
Travels are modular, as across the series. X is 3,000-4,000 mm. Y starts at 1,800 mm with 2,000, 2,300 and 2,500 mm as bracketed alternatives, and Z is 1,500 mm, or 1,700 mm. When sizing, start from the swing of the largest part on the table: the part has to rotate past the column, so table size and X travel go together.
Spindle speed is 2,000 rpm, with 2,700 rpm optional. Rapid traverse is 10 m/min on X, 12 m/min on Y and Z and 5 m/min on W, printed as 10/12/12/5 m/min. Feeler describes hand-scraped joint surfaces on the table, a dual-lead worm and gear table drive, and optical scale feedback on the three axes and the table, and says the series supports milling, drilling, boring, threading and contour machining. Tools: 40, or 60. No taper, power, torque or machine weight is given on the page.

Frequently Asked Questions
01
A 130 mm W-axis spindle at 2,000 (2,700) rpm, an 1,800 x 2,000 mm table rated 15 ton, X travel of 3,000-4,000 mm, Y of 1,800 mm or more, Z of 1,500 (1,700) mm and W of 700 (900) mm.
02
The SHB-130XXRL has a 3,200 x 1,800 mm table rated 20 ton. Spindle, travels, rapids and tool capacity are the same as on the SHB-130XXRM, so the RL is the choice for longer or heavier workpieces.
03
Feeler says the rotary table's dual-lead worm and gear drive eliminates backlash and that the table has optical scale feedback. No indexing accuracy figure is published, so ask for it if bores must line up from opposite sides.
04
The table prints 40(60): a 40-tool magazine, with 60 tools as the bracketed option. Maximum tool length, diameter and weight are not listed on the series page.
