Price estimate
We do not have a price for the Feeler SHB-110XXRM that we can stand behind, so we show no number. Configuration, options and installation move the final price a long way: a quote is the reliable figure.
Overview
Take the 110 mm spindle of the SHB range and put it in front of a bigger table, and the result is the Feeler SHB-110XXRM. Its rotary table measures 1,800 x 2,000 mm (70.9 x 78.7 in) and carries 15 ton, half as much again as the RS version with the same spindle.
The quill is longer too. W-axis travel is 700 mm (27.6 in), with 900 mm in brackets. On a table two metres across, the centre of a large part is a long way from the column, and quill reach decides whether a bore in the middle of a casing can be machined from one side or needs the part turned and the bore picked up again from the other.
X travel is selected from 3,000-4,000 mm. Y is 1,800 mm with longer options of 2,000, 2,300 and 2,500 mm in brackets, and Z is 1,500 mm, or 1,700 mm. Spindle speed is 2,500 rpm, or 3,200 rpm as the option. Rapid traverse is 10/12/12/5 m/min on X/Y/Z/W.
Accuracy on a part this large depends on the table as much as on the axes. Feeler says the rotary table has a dual-lead worm and gear drive that eliminates backlash and holds angular precision under heavy load, that each joint surface of the table is hand-scraped, and that optical scales give feedback on all three axes and the table. When a housing is bored from two opposite sides, it is the table's indexing error that determines how well the two bores line up. Tool capacity is 40, with 60 optional.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 1,800 x 2,000 mm rotary table rated for 15 ton
- W-axis travel of 700 mm (27.6 in), or 900 mm in brackets
- 110 mm spindle with a 3,200 rpm optional speed
- Hand-scraped table joint surfaces and optical scale feedback
- X travel selectable from 3,000 to 4,000 mm
Limitations
- 110 mm spindle is the lighter of the two SHB spindle sizes for a 15 ton table
- Rapids of 10/12/12/5 m/min
- Z travel of 1,500 mm, or 1,700 mm, is the same as on the smaller-table model
- Spindle taper, power and torque are not given

Frequently Asked Questions
01
1,800 x 2,000 mm (70.9 x 78.7 in) with a maximum loading weight of 15 ton. The rotary table uses a dual-lead worm and gear drive, according to Feeler.
02
W-axis travel is listed as 700(900): 700 mm (27.6 in), with 900 mm in brackets as the alternative. The W-axis spindle diameter is 110 mm and its rapid rate 5 m/min.
03
They share the table, load and travels. The SHB-130XXRM has a 130 mm spindle at 2,000 (2,700) rpm, the stiffer choice for heavy boring. The SHB-110XXRM has the 110 mm spindle at 2,500 (3,200) rpm, better where speed for milling matters.
04
Feeler describes the SHB series as a solution for multi-surface and multi-process machining of medium and large parts, supporting milling, drilling, boring, threading and contour machining.
