Overview
The DN Solutions LYNX 2600 M steps up from the 2100 series with a 10-inch (254 mm) chuck and a bigger work envelope that handles mid-size production turning. With a max turning diameter of 380 mm (15 in) and 610 mm (24 in) of turning length, it covers parts that are too big for the LYNX 2100 lineup but don't need the full capability of a PUMA-class machine.
The spindle delivers 18.5 kW (25 hp) with an impressive 403 N-m (297 ft-lb) of torque at up to 3,500 RPM. That torque number is where this machine punches above its weight class — it's got enough twist to push through interrupted cuts in 4140, stainless, and other challenging materials without hesitation. For a LYNX-class machine, that's serious authority.
Axis travels are 255 mm (10 in) on X and 680 mm (27 in) on Z, giving you room to work with longer parts than the 2100 series allows. Rapids run at 30 m/min on both axes. The 12-station turret with 6,000 RPM live tooling handles cross-drilling, tapping, and milling operations.
The machine footprint grows to 3,290 mm (130 in) long and 1,778 mm (70 in) wide, and weight climbs to 4,800 kg (10,582 lb). That's a meaningful step up from the 2100 series in terms of floor space and foundation requirements, but it's still significantly smaller than PUMA territory.
The FANUC 0i-TF Plus control is standard. For shops already running LYNX 2100 machines and needing more capacity, the 2600 M is a natural step up. The programming, operator interface, and maintenance are all familiar. The used market for LYNX 2600 machines is active, though not as deep as the PUMA series due to lower production volumes.
This is the right machine for shops that have outgrown the 2100 but don't need — or can't justify — a full-size PUMA turning center.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 403 N-m (297 ft-lb) of torque punches above its weight class for roughing in tough materials
- 10-inch chuck with 380 mm max turning diameter covers mid-size parts the LYNX 2100 can't reach
- 610 mm (24 in) turning length handles shafts and longer components
- Live tooling at 6,000 RPM eliminates second setups for milling features
- Bridges the gap between LYNX 2100 and PUMA series in capability and price
- FANUC 0i-TF Plus control is standard and universally supported
Limitations
- 3,500 RPM max spindle speed limits high-speed work on small aluminum parts
- 30 m/min Z-axis rapids are slower than the 2100 series' 36 m/min, adding non-cutting time
- 4,800 kg (10,582 lb) weight requires more substantial floor prep than the 2100 series
- No sub-spindle option in this configuration — requires a different model for done-in-one

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The PUMA 2600 has a bigger spindle (30 kW/40 hp vs 18.5 kW/25 hp), larger swing (481 mm vs 380 mm turning diameter), longer Z-travel (830 mm vs 680 mm), and box-way construction. The LYNX 2600 M is lighter, more compact, and more affordable. Choose the PUMA for heavy production, the LYNX for lighter-duty or space-constrained applications.
02
At 403 N-m (297 ft-lb), the LYNX 2600 M has more torque than many competing machines in its size class. That extra torque lets you take heavier cuts in harder materials, reducing cycle time on roughing passes. It's particularly beneficial for interrupted cuts on castings and forgings.
03
Yes, a programmable tailstock is available as an option for supporting longer shaft-type parts. With 610 mm of turning length, the 2600 M can handle shaft work with tailstock support that the 2100 series can't accommodate.
04
Absolutely. With bar feeder integration, chip conveyor, and the FANUC control's production-oriented features, the 2600 M runs production volumes efficiently. It's not as heavy-duty as the PUMA series for aggressive 24/7 production, but for typical two-shift operations it's well suited.
