Overview

The Campro PV-5221 is a five-metre double column machining center: 5,200 mm (204.7 in) of X travel, the longest stroke Campro offers, combined with 2,100 mm (82.6 in) of Y and 800 mm (31.4 in) of Z. The table is 5,000 × 1,700 mm (196.8 in x 66.9 in) and is rated for 12,000 kg (26,455 lb).

Length of this order changes the installation more than the machine. The bridge, ram and spindle are those of the shorter 21-family models. The bed and table are what grow, and with them the floor plan, which is 12,800 × 5,000 mm (503 in x 196 in). A moving-table bridge mill needs room for the table to pass fully under the bridge in both directions, and that is where the 12.8 metres go. Weight is 42,000 kg (92,594 lb).
