Overview

The longest of the three compact SM machines, the Vision Wide SM-2613 has 2,600 mm (102.4 in) of X travel, 1,300 mm (51.2 in) of Y and a 2,800×1,100 mm (110.2×43.3 in) table for 10,000 kg (22,046 lb).

Headroom is adjustable on this frame. Standard Z travel is 800 mm and the option is 1,000 mm. Separately, Vision Wide offers a column heightened by 200 mm for the SM-xx13 machines, which raises the beam over a tall part or fixture without changing the stroke. The two options do different jobs: a longer Z lets the tool reach further down, a higher column lets a taller part pass under the spindle.

Controls are open to choice as well. FANUC 0iMF Plus is standard, with FANUC 31iB, SIEMENS or HEIDENHAIN listed as optional controllers.

The working end is the same as on the SM-1613 and SM-2113: a 6,000 rpm 2-step gear spindle with 15 / 18.5 kW (20.1 / 24.8 hp). For a wider or more powerful machine at the same length, the SM-2622 has 2,200 mm (86.6 in) of Y, a 2,800×2,100 mm (110.2×82.7 in) table and a 22 / 26 kW (29.5 / 34.9 hp) motor.
