Overview

For work that outgrows the PV-4221 in width, Campro offers the PV-4226. This double column machining center keeps the 4,200 mm (165.3 in) X travel of the PV-4221 and widens everything else: 2,600 mm (102.3 in) of Y travel, 2,700 mm (106.2 in) between columns and a 4,000 × 2,200 mm (157.4 in x 86.6 in) table.

The wider table is also the stronger one. Load capacity is 14,000 kg (30,864 lb), where the PV-4221 is rated 10,000 kg (22,046 lb). Campro states that the PV-4226 is equipped with 3 guideways on the X-axis, the feature that separates the 26-family beds from the narrower ones. Machine weight is 42,000 kg (92,594 lb).

Performance figures are unchanged by the extra width, and that is worth knowing in both directions. Rapids are still 12 m/min in X and 15 m/min in Y and Z.
