Baykal BPS

The Baykal BPS is a CNC plasma cutting table that is sold in two equipment levels, and the choice between them fixes the plasma supply, the gas console, the control, the nesting software and the drives all at once.

The first level pairs a Max Pro 200 plasma supply and a manual gas console with a Tecnos CNC on a 15" screen, LANTEK Expert Cut II nesting and Yaskawa servo motors and drives. The second uses an XPR 170 XD or XPR 300 XD supply with a Core, VWI or Optimix gas console, an EdgeConnect control on a 19.5" screen, ProNest and Rexroth servos. Both run on Rexroth linear rail guides, both are listed at a 30 m/min feed rate and both at ± 0.05 mm mechanical accuracy. Torch height travel is by ballscrews on dual linear guides.

Sizes are made to order. The data sheet gives the cutting area as "Min. 1500 mm / Max. 4000" in width and "Min. 3000 mm / Max. 14000" in length, so the smallest table is 1,500 mm (59.1 in) by 3,000 mm (118.1 in). Baykal describes an independently constructed table and an independent CNC console, which keeps the heat and the dross of the table away from the gantry rails and the operator station.

Nothing beyond straight cutting is included as standard. The bevel cutting head, the pipe and tube cutting device, multiple plasma torches and the fume extractor are each listed as optional on both levels. For oxy-fuel torches or a drilling unit Baykal's table points to the larger BPL H.
