Baykal BPL H

The Baykal BPL H is the large gantry in Baykal's plasma range. Its cutting area is printed as "Min. 1500 mm Max. 6000" in width and "Min. 3000 mm Max. 28000" in length, twice the longest BPS bed, and it is the model on which Baykal lists oxy-fuel torches and a drilling device.

Those two options change what the machine is for. Multiple oxy fuel torches let it cut plate thicker than plasma handles economically and strip several parts at once. The multi drilling device puts holes in the plate on the same gantry, before or after the profile is cut. Add the optional bevel cutting head and the pipe and tube cutting device, and a single long bed covers most of what a heavy fabricator does to plate. Each of these is an extra; the base machine is a straight-cutting plasma gantry.

As on the BPS there are two equipment packages. One has a Max Pro 200 supply, manual gas console, Tecnos CNC with a 15" display, LANTEK Expert Cut II and Yaskawa drives. The other has an XPR 170 XD or XPR 300 XD, a Core, VWI or Optimix console, EdgeConnect with a 19.5" display, ProNest and Rexroth drives.

Feed rate is 30 m/min and mechanical accuracy ± 0.05 mm in both packages, on Rexroth linear rail guides. Over a bed of this length, travel time between plates becomes a real part of the cycle, so the feed rate matters more here than on a short table. The fume extractor is optional and, on a wide table, should be planned with the building's ducting.
