Overview
Two metres between centres is the point of the Accuway UT-300LX2. Its Z travel is 2,250 mm (88.6 in), the maximum turning length 2,180 mm (85.8 in) in the A2-8 columns and 2,100 mm (82.7 in) in the A2-11 columns.
A bed of that length changes how the machine moves. Z rapid traverse is 15 m/min (591 in/min), compared with 24 m/min (945 in/min) on the UT-300LX one size down; X remains at 20 m/min (787 in/min). On two-metre shafts cut time dominates anyway, so the slower rapid costs little.
Weight is 9,000 kg (19,841 lb) on a 5.5 x 2.3 x 2.2 m (216.5 x 90.6 x 86.6 in) outline. Check the foundation and the route into the building before ordering, since the machine is a single long casting on box guideways.
Diameter capacity is unchanged from the rest of the UT-300 line: 500 mm (19.7 in) of turning diameter under a 612 mm (24.1 in) swing over bed, with a 400 mm (15.7 in) swing over the saddle. The tailstock body has 2,040 mm (80.3 in) of travel, so it can come close to the chuck for short jobs. A steady rest is optional. The 12-station BOT turret and the four spindle columns, up to A2-11 with a 116.5 mm (4.6 in) bar passage, are the series standard, and the motor is 15/18.5 kW (20.1/24.8 hp).
