Overview
The Accuway JT-200M is the longest of the JT linear-way lathes and the only one of the four that combines 600 mm (23.6 in) of Z travel with rotary tools. It turns 230 mm (9.1 in) in diameter and 450 mm (17.7 in) in length.
Where does it fit? Against the JT-150M it adds length: the same turret and spindle on a bed that takes shafts, with a tailstock whose body moves 450 mm (17.7 in). Against the UL-20M, Accuway's box-way live-tool lathe of similar length, it trades mass for speed. The UL-20M weighs 3,500 kg (7,716 lb) and rapids at 20 m/min (787 in/min); the JT-200M weighs 3,300 kg (7,275 lb) and rapids at 30 m/min (1,181 in/min).
The turret has 12 stations with BMT/VDI tooling and servo mechanical drive. Rotary tools reach 6,000 rpm on a 3.7/5.5 kW (5.0/7.4 hp) motor, enough for drilling, tapping and light milling of keyways and flats. There is no Y axis.
Three spindle columns are listed on an 11/15 kW (14.8/20.1 hp) motor. The A2-5 nose takes a 6 in chuck and a 44 mm (1.7 in) bar at 6,000 rpm. The A2-6 nose takes an 8 in chuck with 52 mm (2.0 in) at 4,500 rpm or 65 mm (2.6 in) at 4,000 rpm. Square shanks are 20 mm (0.8 in). The enclosure is 2.6 x 1.7 x 1.9 m (102.4 x 66.9 x 74.8 in). The 0 degree and 90 degree rotary tool holders marked for the JT-200M are optional accessories.
