Overview
The DN Solutions PUMA DNT 2600 M is the standard-bed milling variant in DN Solutions' latest-generation 2600 turning center lineup. It pairs a beefy 26 kW (34.9 hp) spindle with C-axis live tooling on a 12-station turret, so you can turn, drill cross-holes, tap, and mill flats without moving the part to a second machine. For shops that handle a lot of flanges, couplings, and valve bodies with secondary features, that's real cycle time and handling you're cutting out.
The spindle pushes 735 Nm (542 ft-lb) of torque at speeds up to 3,500 RPM through a 10-12 inch chuck. That's enough power to hog steel and stainless at aggressive feeds without stalling. Max turning diameter is 380 mm (15 in) with 610 mm (24 in) of turning length — plenty for most mid-size production parts. X-axis travel is 260 mm (10.2 in) and Z-axis runs 680 mm (26.8 in), with rapids of 24 m/min on X and 30 m/min on Z.
The 12-station turret indexes live tools at 6,000 RPM. That's enough for production drilling, tapping, and light milling through C-axis interpolation. You're not going to replace a VMC for heavy pocketing, but for the secondary ops that eat up your schedule, it handles them in the same setup.
DN Solutions runs the FANUC 0i-TF Plus control on this machine, which is about as universal as it gets. Your operators already know it, your service techs support it, and programming is identical to every other FANUC-equipped lathe on the floor. The DNT generation brings improved thermal compensation and rigidity improvements over the older GT 2600 series.
At around 4,350 kg (9,590 lb), the DNT 2600 M has the mass to damp vibration on heavy interrupted cuts. It's a solid, no-surprises turning center that earns its keep in production environments where uptime and consistency matter more than bells and whistles.

Strengths & Limitations
Strengths
- 26 kW spindle with 735 Nm of torque provides serious roughing power for steel and stainless in the 10-12 inch chuck class
- C-axis live tooling at 6,000 RPM eliminates secondary ops for cross-holes, tapping, and flat milling
- Compact standard-bed footprint fits shops with limited floor space while still handling 610 mm turning length
- FANUC 0i-TF Plus control is universally supported with zero learning curve for experienced operators
- DNT-generation platform with improved thermal compensation over the older GT 2600 series
- 4,350 kg mass provides solid vibration damping on heavy interrupted cuts
Limitations
- No Y-axis limits milling to C-axis interpolation — you can't cut off-center features without the SY variant
- 610 mm max turning length is tight for longer shafts; step up to the LM for parts beyond that
- 3,500 RPM spindle top speed is limiting for high-speed aluminum finishing
- Live tooling adds maintenance complexity and cost versus a straight 2-axis turning center

Frequently Asked Questions
01
The M has 680 mm of Z-axis travel versus 1,100 mm on the LM. Both share the same spindle, turret, and live tooling specs. Choose the M for parts under 600 mm long, or the LM if you regularly turn longer shafts.
02
New machines run roughly $110,000-$150,000 depending on options. Used GT 2600 M predecessors from 2018-2023 sell in the $45,000-$75,000 range. Options like bar feeders, tool presetters, and chip conveyors add to the base price.
03
Yes, with an optional bar feeder. The through-bore accommodates standard bar sizes, and DN Solutions dealers commonly package bar feeders with the machine for production applications.
04
Both are competitive 10-inch class lathes with live tooling. The DNT 2600 M has a torque advantage with 735 Nm, while the Mazak offers its proprietary SmoothG control. The FANUC control on the DN Solutions is more universally supported across North American shops. Pricing is comparable.
05
With C-axis and 6,000 RPM live tools, you can drill, tap, mill flats, cut keyways, and engrave — all through C-axis interpolation. It won't replace a VMC for heavy 3D contouring, but it handles the secondary ops that typically require a second setup on a mill.
