Accuway JT-150

Speed between cuts is the selling point of the Accuway JT-150. It is a slant-bed lathe on linear ways, and both axes rapid at 30 m/min (1,181 in/min), half as fast again as the 20 m/min (787 in/min) of the box-way UL-15 that shares its spindle.

On short-cycle parts the difference adds up. A job of a few seconds per tool spends a good share of its cycle indexing and repositioning, and linear guideways with quick rapids cut that share. The price of linear ways is less damping in heavy interrupted cuts, which is why Accuway keeps box ways on the UL and UT lines. Buyers should match the choice to the material and the depth of cut.

Capacity is a 300 mm (11.8 in) turning diameter and a 310 mm (12.2 in) turning length, with 195 mm (7.7 in) of X travel and 350 mm (13.8 in) of Z. Swing over bed is 505 mm (19.9 in). The spindle comes in three columns: A2-5 with a 6 in chuck at 6,000 rpm, or A2-6 with an 8 in chuck at 4,500 rpm or 4,000 rpm. Bar capacity is 44 mm (1.7 in), 52 mm (2.0 in) or 65 mm (2.6 in), and the motor is 11/15 kW (14.8/20.1 hp).

The BOT turret has 8, 10 or 12 stations by column. A tailstock with a 150 mm (5.9 in) quill stroke is in the table. The JT-150 weighs 2,900 kg (6,393 lb). There are no rotary tools; the JT-150M on the same page has them.
