AccuteX GA-53 — price

Price estimate: uncertain

We have no price for the AccuteX GA-53 that we can cite and no estimate we can stand behind, so this page shows no number rather than a guess. A quote from AccuteX or an authorised dealer is the reliable figure.

What moves the final price

  • Spindle, control and probing options
  • Tool changer capacity and tooling package
  • Automation — pallet changers, bar feeders, robot cells
  • Freight, rigging, installation and training
  • Region, dealer and time of year

Overview

Give the GA-43 a longer X axis and you have the AccuteX GA-53: 500 mm (19.7 in) of X travel, 300 mm (11.8 in) of Y and 220 mm (8.7 in) of Z. AccuteX prints the same workpiece envelope, 880 x 630 x 215 mm (34.6 x 24.8 x 8.5 in), and the same footprint, 2,200 x 2,570 x 1,995 mm (86.6 x 101.2 x 78.5 in), for both models. The table load rises to 500 kg (1,102 lb) and the machine weight to 3,000 kg (6,614 lb).

The case for this model is simple. It occupies the floor space of the GA-43, uses the same 730 L water system and gives a longer cut. Y travel, Z stroke and the 175 mm (6.9 in) maximum cutting height do not change.

AccuteX uses the GA page to describe how its controller treats corners and entries. Parameters are adjusted according to wire diameter, corner angle, arc radius and thickness, and the maker says the machine meets corner accuracy demands on small paths and continuous corners. A newer lead-in / lead-out function is aimed at tungsten carbide: AccuteX states a wire mark of 2μm after 3 cuts by 40mm thickness, which reduces polishing on a punch flank.

Compared with the AL-500SA, which has the same X and Y travel, the GA-53 is the shorter and plainer machine. Its Z stroke is 220 mm (8.7 in) against 300 mm (11.8 in), and its U and V travel is 60 mm (2.4 in) with a ±15° / H80 mm taper limit. Auto Wire Threading (AWT), the water chiller and the XY axes linear motor are optional accessories on the GA-53.

Strengths & Limitations

Strengths

  • 500 mm (19.7 in) of X travel in the same 2,200 x 2,570 x 1,995 mm (86.6 x 101.2 x 78.5 in) footprint as the GA-43
  • Corner control that adjusts parameters for wire diameter, corner angle, arc radius and thickness
  • Lead-in / lead-out function for tungsten carbide with a stated 2μm wire mark after 3 cuts by 40mm thickness
  • Table load of 500 kg (1,102 lb) on a 3,000 kg (6,614 lb) machine
  • SD Master stable discharge board is standard

Limitations

  • Z stroke of 220 mm (8.7 in) and a maximum cutting height of 175 mm (6.9 in) limit part thickness
  • Taper capacity is ±15° / H80 mm with 60 mm (2.4 in) of U and V travel
  • AWT, water chiller, linear motor and 0.2μm Resolution Linear Scale are all optional accessories
  • AccuteX prints the same 880 x 630 x 215 mm (34.6 x 24.8 x 8.5 in) workpiece envelope as for the GA-43, so the longer travel does not come with a longer listed workpiece
06

Best For

Punch and die sections up to 500 mm (19.7 in) long and 175 mm (6.9 in) thick Carbide punches where the lead-in mark matters Shops that need more X travel without giving up floor space

Frequently Asked Questions

01 What is the difference between the AccuteX GA-53 and the GA-43?

X travel: 500 mm (19.7 in) on the GA-53 against 400 mm (15.7 in) on the GA-43. The GA-53 also carries 500 kg (1,102 lb) and weighs 3,000 kg (6,614 lb), where the GA-43 carries 400 kg (882 lb) and weighs 2,800 kg (6,173 lb). Y, Z, U and V travel, taper and footprint are the same.

02 Does the GA-53 thread the wire automatically?

Only if the option is ordered. Auto Wire Threading (AWT) is in the optional accessory list, and AccuteX marks machines that have it with an "A" in the model name. High Pressure Water Jet Threading is a separate option. The base GA-53 is threaded by hand.

03 Is the GA-53 a linear motor machine?

The XY axes linear motor is listed as an optional accessory, and AccuteX uses an "L" in the model name for machines fitted with it. A 0.2μm Resolution Linear Scale is also on the options list. Ask which drive and feedback the quoted machine has.

04 What control does the GA-53 run?

AccuteX's own controller. The table lists a Windows system on a 64-bit Industrial PC with a ≥ 30GB SSD, 5 axes controlled and 4 simultaneous, or 6 and 5 with the optional W axis. AccuteX states that the controller is 100% self-developed by its R&D team.
